    Description of issue

    The Club Gimnàstic Manresa play UEFA Youth League, but is not qualified for this competition following the UEFA classification criteria. 

    The same thing happened in FM23

     

    And the classification for this round would have to be following this criterion:

    The 32 clubs competing on the UEFA Champions League route will be those that participate in the group stage of the senior competition. They are joined by the 32 national youth champions of the highest-ranked associations whose senior team has not qualified for the group stage of the Champions League: these clubs will participate in the national champions route. If the senior team of a national youth champion has qualified for the group stage of the Champions League, the vacant place will be filled by the national youth champion of the next participating association.

    It seems that after the last update the Youth League is working better. But the same problem continues to appear with the Club Gimnàstic Manresa team.

    It is not an Andorran youth team, it is a Spanish team that plays in the National League. It is the youth team of FC Andorra ID 1709.

    Something is not working right in the database.

    In terms of the database, we will try using a feature created for certain academies in Austria, the "Shared Youth Team." I believe that, in this way, FC Andorra U19 and Gimnàstic Manresa can coexist within the FC Andorra structure while maintaining Gimnàstic Manresa's Spanish nationality. Consequently, Gimnàstic Manresa would not automatically qualify for the Youth League.

    By the way, If after that it's FC Andorra U19 whom then qualify automatically it will be also an error, as it competes in the Spanish Youth System, albeit in regional categories.
