Description of issue
The disciplinary rules are the same for all tournaments, but I think this is a mistake.
This is especially true regarding the handling of yellow cards.
All-Japan Cup has different rules from J123 League, League Cup, and Super Cup.
1) J1,J2,J3 League
1 match ban after 4 yellow cards
2 match ban after 4 yellow cards
If the player accumulates 4 yellow cards for the third time, he will be suspended for 2 games, same as the second time.
2) League Cup
1 match ban after 2 yellow cards
2 match ban after 2 yellow cards
If the player accumulates 2 yellow cards for the third time, he will be suspended for 2 games, same as the second time.
3) Super Cup
Super Cup yellow cards do not affect other competitions.
However, a red card or two yellow cards in one match will affect the next tournament.
4) All-Japan Cup
1 match suspension for 2 yellow cards
As a general rule, suspensions due to accumulated yellow cards apply only to that tournament.
Suspensions due to accumulated yellow cards in the J1 League do not affect other competitions such as the League Cup.
All of these are based on the regulations published by the J League and JFA. I can present the document if necessary. However, the document is in Japanese.
