  • Players in Japan are not becoming home-grown

    Description of issue

    In Japan you need to have 2 to 4 players (depending on the league) trained by your club for 3 years before their 21st birthdays in your squad.

    I've had only 2 such players at my club as I started the save.

    Okay, i thought, the problem will fix itself with youth players. But I am now starting the 4th season with my club and from all my youth players only 1 became home-grown and I can't find out the reason why.

     

    See the list of players here: All the 16 and 17 years old at the end are from youth intakes (not bought players). They should be home-grown by now.

    See for example Shigheru Yoshida. He joined the youth team 5 years ago. He should be home-grown.

    I am noticing this problem too and was about to send my example as well.

    With HGCs being so critically important to J1 teams, it is a really bad bug if this is what it is.
