It's a little bit embarrassing that USG lead the Belgian league currently by 8 points, and only lost the league last year to a 89th minute goal, yet they are absolutely rubbish on this game for the 2nd year running. Has the team responsible for compiling data seen Belgian football in the last 3 seasons? Why are they consistently downgraded?
Its not hard to see its not an accident either. Just looking at some data that translates to success in the game, it doesnt make sense.
Cercle Brugge and Union SG have the same "reputation score".... maybe you can remind me the last season Cercle Brugge beat Liverpool in a European Competition? Or drew away to Leverkusen, who are currently 5 points clear in Germany a few months later? You really telling me the worldwide status of Cercle Brugge can compare? Because I can point to BBC, La Marca, World Soccer Magazine.... there was literally articles in Argentina about USG's first season in the Pro League, it made world football news everywhere.... but yeah, I guess Brugge are equally known.
Even the "city" attraction score that affects how players want to come to your team.... 4/20 for "Vorst". This is lower than Molenbeek and Anderlecht. I think you should check house prices guys, because this is ridiculous. Charleroi is 10 out of 20! Even Seraing beats Vorst... have you ever even been to Belgium? Also while I am at it, having lived in Forest for a long time, no one speaks Dutch. I have no idea why Anderlecht and Forest are listed as Dutch speaking areas.
And then we get to the teams. Checking the database, when we list how many players are over 120 Current ability....
Gent - 17
Anderlecht - 13
Genk - 16
Antwerp - 9
Brugge - 14
Standard - 7
Union 7 .....
Real life...... Union smash everyone apart.
FM reality..... Union are no better than 11th placed Standard... who have 31 points less than them.
The biggest joke is Cameron Puertas with a CA of 116. This makes him probably 100th best player in Belgium on the game.... he just won runner up in the League awards for 2023, and was named in World Soccer Magazines article about best players in Belgium.
Sort it out, its embarrassing.
