Almin Suljevic, Hamburg youth player

Hi there, thank you for logging this. We do have a short height set for him. This might be from previous iterations still (1.55m) - we will look into this, I couldn't find a correct height upon a really quick search; but we will look to correct this for future releases.

the correct spelling for his surname is Suljević, not »Suljevic«.

Interestingly, there is nowhere including the HSV site where his name is being used as Suljević....

However, I am aware that this would be correct looking at the Montenegrin diacritics, but I'm not 100% sure if he has German born nationality.... will monitor

he is listed with dual nationality, the primary nationality being montenegro.

being german myself, i know that in germany - and most western countries for that matter - the correct spelling with the respective diacritics for non-western european names (croatian, czech, polish, latvian etc.) has only been adopted recently, in contrast to western european names, which have consistently been spelled correctly.

the football manager series is one such example, where older entries for officials, players and staff are still spelled without diacritics.

Question remains whether he was born in Germany and has chosen Montenegrin nationality - but it's an interesting matter. We will monitor 
(I'm likely to add the correct diacritics to be honest - we do prefer it, but have to wait a bit to see if there's more development and certainty)

i am actually in hamburg, but not a hsv supporter. it’s not on my priorities list, but if there’s an opportunity, i might inquire.

on another note, does the person responsible for research in croatia follow the respective thread with data issues? i’m asking you because you respond to reports, whereas in the croatia thread there are reports going back a year or more that haven’t been addressed or rectified yet.

i have a number of db issues where i’d submit tickets, but if they are not bothering to review them, it would be pointless. cheers.

Some researchers are more actively responsive than others, pretty sure they do get checked - we will do our best to do a forums sweep before the data locks and releases still at some point later on. Raising issues is definitely appreciated!

pauli is alright, but i’m all eintracht. einmal - immer!

thanks for the heads up. the referee issue is one such instance where the database hasn’t been corrected and updated, although another user had posted it in late 2023; there are other examples. i will post the reports in the croatia thread, but don’t be mad if i happen to ping you.
