Description of issue
I was looking at our improved finances and noticed that after just 3 months of the season we had already generated significantly more income from gate receipts than we did in the whole of last season.
In fact we earned more in gate receipts last month alone (£692,970), than we did in the whole of the previous season, £458,307).
1st let's look at the attendances from the games last month.
5 games played at home, with a total of 17,611 in attendance.
Now let's compare it to the whole of last season.
We had 3 sell-outs in our 1st season over 29 games, with a total of 94,990 in attendance.
It just doesn't make sense to me how our income from this season is already so much higher than the whole of last season.
The only thing I can think of is that the gate receipts for the Copa Libertadores are shared, but it doesn't indicate that in the rules and I can't find anything to support that online.
That would make sense to me in so much as we had 3 individual away games in the Copa Libertadores this season, where the attendance was roughly 10x what we would expect in a home game.
