  • Players retiring mid-tournament

    So it's 2038, I'm in the World Cup with England, hoping my captain Jude Bellingham will win his third straight Golden Boot (hey, isn't that why we play this game...?), when he suddenly retires the day before the World Cup Final.

    This is a common bug but this was particularly annoying... 

    Basically tournaments frequently straddle the end of a season, and players only have one point of retirement which is the end of the season. Usually players are past international standard by the time they retire, but some end up vanishing from the squad mid-tournament which is a shame.

    Could this be fixed by allowing players to retire after a tournament? Or by changing the season end date so that it's after the world cup or euro final?

    FYI this bug has been in the game as early as 2010 LOL. Here are the screen shots and I've uploaded a game file a day before Harry Kane retires from the game while he's on England duty at a World Cup. The uploaded game file name: Felix Szeto - Arsenal 1 fm24.fm

    Update: So I loaded up the save fron June 30th again this time Kane actually retired on July 22nd. I'm unsure what triggers the bug seems to be randomised.

    I'm not seeing your save file in our cloud system, can you please reupload.

    Also if possible, do you have a save from before they announce their retirement date?

    Done. Unfortunately June30 is the earliest save I have left now.
