  • Cannot set anyone to 'edge of area' when defending deep free kicks

When defending any other set piece (including wide or direct free kicks), I can set trackers to 'edge of area' but unable to do this when defending deep free kicks.

Would still be useful I think, to have creative players on the edge of the area to pick up any loose balls.

Hi, this is due to the area that deep free kicks can take place and having a player set to edge of the area would likely player the opposition onside in number of situations.

Ok, this makes sense and has been removed for logical reasons.

Might be worth having a look at the visual representation of the deep/balanced/high defensive lines for set pieces as at the moment then given:

    - defending a wide free kick with a high defensive line allows for 'edge of area' trackers

    - defending a deep free kick with a deep defensive line doesn't allow for 'edge of area' trackers as you explained which makes sense but visually the line looks deeper than the one above, showing plenty of room for trackers to be edge of area

Perhaps the defensive lines for defending deep free kicks all need to be pushed up a bit visually.
