    I deactivated the option to automatically save the game but it still randomly saves the game for me. Further more it is impossible to choose which file to load, you can only pick the most recent save. This is the automatic save so you are unable to return to a set moment in the career if you decide to.

    this has been a thing for years, why there isnt a way to disable auto saves at all? but anyways, you can still load your manual save if you use the "load save" option instead of the "most recent" one.

    The automatic weekly saves are different to the auto save that is created when you exit your current career. As MatiasDFS said, any manual save can be found from the Load Game button on the main menu.

    From there, if you press Load on the career folder you want to play you should see your manual saves.
