  • AI cannot get around match rules when a protected player gets injured

    Description of issue

    Hi, apologies if this is the wrong subforum. I'm playing in Latvia where you must field 3 home-grown players (trained by a Latvian club for 3 years before they turned 21) in every match. The AI started the match with those 3 (Lizunovs, Berzins and Idowu) players, but when one of them got injured (Lizunovs in the 31st minute), the player was taken off and nobody was subbed in although the club had 3 (Uldriks, Alpens and Vilkovs) more home-grown players on the bench. I suspect AI got confused because none of those 3 HG players on the bench could play as a striker.

    Later on in the match, the AI made some more subs and, in one interval, managed to sub off two players, one of which was HG, for two players, a foreign one and a HG one.

    Do you also have a save file prior to that match taking place that we could have so we can play it through in realtime?

    Apologies for the short delay in response, don't worry if you don't have the save!

    I've progressed quite far in the save from that point so the only save file I have is a one that's 8 days away from the match (the Cup final) taking place. If it helps, I've uploaded it as AI and match rules.fm

    We'll pass it over to our testing team to investigate, but on the off chance you do encounter the issue again at a different point, a save file prior to it occurring would help a great deal further. :)
