It's still extremely difficult to drag a player into position to turn a flat midfield 2 or centerback pairing into a flat 3-man midfield or back 3. This was an issue in FM22 as well. Unless the drag is extremely precisely targeted to an area that's difficult to see exactly, you'll just end up swapping players between positions. I've spent two minutes just trying to move a DM back into the backline before. The system on the old tactics screen actually scooted the other two players to the sides, making it much easier.
