I've signed a goalkeeper with a promise that I will strengthen up front. Seven days later he's furious and considering his future because I have not strengthened up front. I've also got a midfielder I've offered a contract to who signs on June 16; he is giving me seven days to strengthen the squad at goalkeeper. This promise can't be completed in any case, because I've already strengthened the squad at keeper, he just wasn't at the club yet when it happened (this is the signing of the aforementioned pissed-off keeper). I know it's non-league but seven days seems like an outrageously short amount of time.
