    It's 1st Jun 2026 and I have just received the following message.

    There are 2 takeaways here from this message. 

    1.  We have lost 6,100 followers on social media. 
    2.  Some of our "core" fans have become less serious in their support and are now only deemed "fair weather" supporters. 

    That would all be fine were it not for the fact that we have just won the league by 9 points and are unbeaten in the last 29 games of the season. For us to lose followers and for our supporters to become less motivated to follow us during this time seems wrong. 

    When the club do well and the supporters are happy with my performance and that of the club, social media numbers should rise and supporters should become more motivated to support us rather than less. You lose supporters in bad times. You don't lose them in good times. 

    I have a save dated 18th May 2026 (when promotion was announced). 
    I also have a save on 2nd Jun 2026, (the day after I received this message).

    Someone has also just pointed out something to me that I previously missed. 

    If you look at the Supporter culture & expectations, some of them seem contradictory.

    Attacking football, but also defensively sold. 
    Direct football but also entertaining. 

    That doesn't seem correct.
