Description of issue
Another issue I'm disappointed to see still present across multiple editions of the game for some reason...
If a player isn't getting playing time and doesn't even care to leave then why is he upset if you value him highly?
Either he wants to leave and he should want you to set a low fee, or he doesn't want to leave and shouldn't care or even be pleased to have a high value attached to him.
It's incongruous and immersion breaking for this unreasonable interaction to be triggered every single time.
