Free agent interested in joining but rejects trial

And on the flip side here is a player who accepted the trial but is not even interested in discussing a contract whatsoever... Why these inconsistencies? They don't make any sense.

These are just a few examples but I'm noticing this happening a fair bit overall.

Any update on this?

Just had yet another player (who transfer listed by request because he is in the reserves with 0 appearances so far this season) leave his club midseason to join me on loan, but then refuse to entertain even a loan to my club.

There is no realism in that - either he's not interested or he is. And I'd think he should be interested to return to his home country and get some playing time as a star player...

In general it seems that there's a real problem with players unrealistically not wanting to enter into contract negotiations for no discernible reason. I've never seen it this bad across the board, regardless of what the reason is. See this adjacent example:
