When you discuss a player's demand with an agent before going into the contract negociations, and ask the agent to reduce their wages demand, they will give you a bracket, let's say between 600k and 900k rather than between 750k & 1M as an example. But when I go into the actual contract negotiations it's impossible to negotiate further. They will demand a wage on the higher side of the bracket, like 850k, and absolutely refuse to lower that, even just a little, they'll also refuse to lower the bonuses, etc. I'm ok with them refusing to lower it down to 600k with no compensations in bonuses, that makes sense, but it's a bit odd to not be able to negotiate at all in actual contract negotiations, at least not in your favour...
This applies to both new transfers and contract renewals & it happened with all of the last players I tried to negotiate with (+5).
