Description of issue
I'm managing Real Madrid and there's one thing that I don't get. Players who I want to buy constantly choose Liverpool, City, even Spurs. I would understand if I was managing some small club, but it's Real who we're talking about, and they just won their 10th league title in a row in my save. Just look at this one example:
Didn't change anything here, his agent wanted big pay rise and star player - I kept it.
Same applies here - changed just wages from 400k that were there by default to 950k
What does the player do in the end?
Joins City because 222k "benefits his family" more than 950k in Madrid. I'll add that this situation also happened last season when I was looking for a GK. Offered ridiculous wages to Trubin and Meslier, but they both went for Spurs and Liverpool (even tho I was offering 3/4x as much and a star player). So the point is, it's literally impossible to sign any top player (unless I'm the only club interested in them) and I'm really curious what the reason is. Clearly the reasoning that game gives me (about his family benefiting financially) is untrue since I'm offering much more, so is this just a thing to make the game harder? Or is the Premier League so op that not only it gets more money than other leagues, but its clubs can also sign anyone while massively underpaying them?
