I am having the same issue, nothing has changed since downloading the update, I am still not able to load my save. 

Not sure how or if the update was properly tested but it is still an issue. Not beeing able to play the game we paid for is not serious. I expected better from a company like SI games when it comes to developpement and testing. It is really symptomatic on how the games and software more generally are released now

 

I'll think twice before buying the next one ...

Exactly the same for me, I can only load pre update saves. Any new saves, post update, will not load!
