Editing attributes using FMRTE

There may be a thread about this but I have searched and could find nothing. I have a player who has Acceleration of 14 and to try and balance the distribution of his stats out I took his long throws stats from 6 all the way down to 2. I then added what I took away to his Acceleration to give 18:

Acceleration - 14 -> 18

Long Throws - 6 -> 2

However after a period of say 2 weeks the players stats drop in all areas and I get some nice big red downwards arrows. Is there anyway to stop this? Do I need to alter his CA and PA?

It's because stats are weighted according to a players position. In your case adding 1 point of acceleration equates to about 19 points of long throws, so by increasing acceleration by 4 the game compensates by reducing other stats.
