IzzetLeicester Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Currently for viewing attributes we have... Numeric Values (1-20) and a Graph Bar. I myself would prefer to view players attributes in star format. Say... 1-4 = * 5-8 = ** 9-12 = *** 13-16 = **** 17-20 = ***** This would allow me to view at a glance what a players best attributes are whilst also I would welcome the extra challenge of not knowing if my new star striker of finishing ***** had a 17 or 20. Perhaps the ratings could even be user-modified for if you are playing in the lower leagues, for example.... 1-2 = * 3-5 = ** 6-8 = *** 9-11 = **** 12-20 = ***** I think it would be cool what do other people think? bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Managers can easily tell if a player is slightly better at finishing than another player. It'd be nice if they added it to potential transfer targets. It goes from unmasked to stars then if you scout him for long enough you get the numbers. By the way you can easily tell at a glance what a players best attributes are if you change the attributes color scheme. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
18-WATP-73 Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Colour attributes do the same thing really Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
IzzetLeicester Posted June 18, 2009 Author Share Posted June 18, 2009 Is there anyway I can change the colours to suit my needs? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Yeah it's actually pretty easy are you using a skin or the default skin? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
golfpunk Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Is there anyway I can change the colours to suit my needs? Different skins created by some of the guys in the Skinning Hideout have different colours for the attributes. Have a look in there. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
IzzetLeicester Posted June 18, 2009 Author Share Posted June 18, 2009 Yeah thats cool but I was wondering if I could modify the colours for my own viewing pleasure? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 You can just go to the settings file of the skin you're using and look for:- <!-- profile attribute colours START HERE--> <colour name="low attribute" red="255" green="255" blue="255" alpha="140"/> <colour name="normal attribute" red="240" green="240" blue="40" alpha="200"/> <colour name="good attribute" red="255" green="190" blue="00" /> <colour name="excellent attribute" red="255" green="0" blue="0" /> <colour name="special attribute" red="145" green="190" blue="250" /> blue="255" /> <colour name="attribute label" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> <colour name="special attribute label" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> <colour name="profile extra text" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> <!-- profile attribute colours END HERE--> Should be near the top. Change the red blue and green colors to create the different colors. It's a trial and error thing. Go to settings display and sound and then click on reload settings on confirm and untick load from cache. Every time you adjust go back in and click confirm to reload the new settings. bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Try this out you might like it:- <colour name="low attribute" red="255" green="255" blue="255" alpha="140"/> <colour name="normal attribute" red="240" green="240" blue="40" alpha="200"/> <colour name="good attribute" red="255" green="190" blue="00" /> <colour name="excellent attribute" red="255" green="0" blue="0" /> <colour name="special attribute" red="145" green="190" blue="250" /> blue="255" /> <colour name="attribute label" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> <colour name="special attribute label" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> <colour name="profile extra text" red="255" green="255" blue="255" /> Oh I might as well tell you that you should open the settings file with notepad. Copy these settings on the ones that are already there then save. Create a back up just in case. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Morgie93 Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 I might try that myself see how the different colours look with the skin. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 I should point out that you don't need to exit FM to do this. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ryknow Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 As pointed out the colour of the stats will show you at first glance. I like whats already implemented I just would like the coach reports to be far more in depth about strengths and weaknesses for when I really want to look into the players ability. bardock Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Definitely agree Ryknow coach, physio and scout reports could be a little more descriptive. It'd be nice for the coach reports to say something like Player A plays works well with Player B or something along those lines. Obviously JCA has to be quite high for him to spot that kind of thing. I know the user can reach to that conclusion by him/herself but still... Physio can state things like I recommend moving him to a easier workload or something. Right now their very useless and only state the obvious. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
