SFTMH
So all my players seem to be flat lining when I noticed that all their coaches were my assistant manager. So I went through and painstakingly selected specialised coaches for everyone... only to have them default back. What am I missing? 17 year olds are staying static for two seasons at a time, no matter the potential!
MelbVictory
So - I dunno what your missing but I'll tell you what you can do. 1. In the training/coaches screen there is a button 'auto arrange all' or something to that effect. Click that and your coaches will coach what they should. Alternatively 2. You can slect a coach and pick what he coaches. A coach with 19 for fitness training may be well suited to Aerobic and strength training. The aim overall is to have a fairly low workload on all (ie. spread it out). So, if they still default back, then that might be a bug - coz it shouldn't. If ,through that, you do not have anybody coaching fitness, then your fitness attributes are unlikey to improve. Of course, if you don't have a legit copy of the game, thats another thing. SFTMH
Of course I have a proper copy of the game. I just haven't been able to figure out training since they brought in this new model a few years ago. I'm a manager not a coach!
golfpunk
Of course I have a proper copy of the game.I just haven't been able to figure out training since they brought in this new model a few years ago. I'm a manager not a coach! A manager 'manages' his coaches by assigning them to certain aspects of training. You aren't having to coach the players as a manager, you're just telling your coaches what you want them to do I haven't experienced the problem you're having with the coaches defaulting back to the original settings (which is usually when they are assigned to all categories). I usually clear all assignments and then physically assign each coach to the certain aspect of training they are best at.

He's played every game, I've kept him in top shape, he scores another winning goal to get MOM and I'm greeted with this result.
SFTMH
And this is what my training set-up looks like.
SFTMH
Any advice? I'd prefer the AI to take control of it rather than an in-depth solution, but this is clearly not working.
charlo116
can i see a screenshot of the training schedule he's on? Also go to his profile screen and then select Overview under Training from the left menu and check if he is happy with his training schedule.
ironiman
One of the reasons this may be happening is the improvement of the weaker foot. Although he may still be listed as right-only. There may be a slight improvement in the weaker foot that takes numbers away from the technical stats, especially on players who have reached their potential. SFTMH
Cheers for the help. I'm on a work computer at the moment, but I'll have a look when I get home and post his training schedule.
