skinnymalinky
I've just started a game with Saturn in Russia and am after some talent from Eastern Europe. After a quick search I decided to devote a thread to the best from the old Easter Bloc. Feel free to post players or discuss you best signings from this region. I'd like to avoid listing all the -9s as I'm sure they are obvious to everyone by now. Beside, there are other threads specifically for these players. I'm in need of a playmaker MC that is available for around 2/3/4 million. I was thinking of signing Bilyaletdinov but he's a bit lightweight in the tackle and stats are more suited to an AMC. If anyone has a suggestion let me know. OK, here are some players I've found so far on my travels: Nemanja Pejcinoivc. Should be good enough for Prem teams out side of the top four. If you're playing in Russia he'll probably only go to the top 2 sides. http://img36.imageshack.us/i/nemanjapejcinovic.jpg/ Roman Shiskin. Decent all round stats make him a useful addition to balance the number of foreign players allowed in the matchday team of any Russian squad. Great cross and free kick http://img38.imageshack.us/i/romanshishkin.jpg/ Denis Yevsikov. A bit of a bargain that can be bought for around 600k. Lacks some mental stats but is a solid defending LB http://img380.imageshack.us/i/denisyevsikov.jpg/ Stefan Baboianu. Cheap Romanian RB that is brilliant going forward. Great championship signing. Probably is good enough for most leagues outside the big 5. http://img383.imageshack.us/i/stefanbarboianu.jpg/ Mikhail Sivikov. Never seen this guy before. Looks like he might cut it in the Prem, but will definitely be a starter for top sides outside of the major European clubs. Could make quite a good attacking LB http://img33.imageshack.us/i/mikhailsivakov.jpg/ Ivan Obradovic. A fave from past FMs. Easily good enough for lower prem sides, sides not in the major leagues may have trouble signing him. http://img133.imageshack.us/i/ivanobradovic.jpg/ Anton Sosnin. Was a -9 in FM08, but has since been downgraded. Even still, he's a decent enough prospect that should make an impact in the Russian league. He's also pretty cheap. http://img44.imageshack.us/i/antonsosnin.jpg/ Kamil Vacek. Another one I've never seen. Despite his average stats he is 2 footed. Should be a decent championship signing. http://img36.imageshack.us/i/kamilvacek.jpg/ Alexandr Ryazantsev. Probably the best AMR from outside of the (traditional) big 4 Russian clubs. Excellent dribbler and good work rate http://img22.imageshack.us/i/alexandrryazantsev.jpg/ Andrej Keric. Another bargain for the championship. Excellent pace, composure, flair and off the ball. His finishing stat is a little low but his other stats combined with reasonable technique should mean that he'll score a fair few. http://img44.imageshack.us/i/andrejkeric.jpg/ Nikola Komazec. There is already a thread about this guy. Amazingly solid stats and a absolute bargain to boot. http://img30.imageshack.us/i/nikolakomazec.jpg/ Diego Suarez. The best youth talent in the Ukraine. Stats look ropey atm but I've seen him develop into a classy AMC very quickly http://img44.imageshack.us/i/diegosuarez.jpg/ Artem Dzyuba. One of the top Russian prospects. Develops into a solid goal scorer http://img383.imageshack.us/i/artemdzyuba.jpg/ Alexandr Stavpets. Another one of the top young strikers in Russia. Can be bought relatively cheaply at the start. http://img44.imageshack.us/i/alexandrstavpets.jpg/ Alexandr Sapeta. The best youth player at Saturn. On my save he's described as the new Kanchelskis (sp?). Has all the stats of a good AMC but needs to develop in other areas. http://img512.imageshack.us/i/alexandrsapeta.jpg/ Farhod Vasiev. Another top Saturn prospect. Similarly to Sapeta, he has lots of important stats in key areas but need to develop other stats. Luckily he has excellent determination and is only 17. http://img22.imageshack.us/i/farhodvasiev.jpg/ Sergey Shubin. This is a bargain I picked up at the start for a few hundred k. Nothing special but looks decent going forward and is still quite young. http://img133.imageshack.us/i/sergeyshubin.jpg/

Purefun
Great OP, well done. Going to scout them all and see who will be best for my Anderlecht save. Only have 2 mil euro left though!! Which one do you recommend?
KB123
Damn, I can't find Komazec in my save.
skinnymalinky
Purefun, according to my scouts Sivikov is rated as 7*. The others are a mixed bag, some are decent, some good and a couple are quality. It really depends on which position you want to fill. Btw, I haven't tried them all. Welshace
brilliant finds skinny... never seen most of these great players before... hoping a few will get WP for my fulham game thanks
skinnymalinky
Please note, there are better, more established players in Russia but their transfer fees will be 5mil+. I will include them in this thread at some point but right now I can't be arsed. If you're playing somewhere in the former Eastern Bloc post you finds! (But please, no -9s under 21)
antg1985
When i see the title i immediately thought it was going to be about eastern European women, then i see ehat forum it was in lol
-TonyVain-
How about Nikola Kalinic? He is awesome for my Leeds side in the Prem. Haven't got a screenshot though, sorry.
-TonyVain-
Roman Zozulya - potential to be as good as Ronaldinho..

Ty
Ahh I have never had any luck with Roman Zozulya random PA, its quite annoying, I buy him for around 2k and he never really gets going.
Evanescent
Fedor Smolov did well for me in my CSKA Moscow save while Nenad Tomovic has been superb at right back in my current Anderlecht game. Both can be purchased for next to nothing at the start of the game.
skinnymalinky
@Tony & Evan, I purposely avoided mentioning players with a high PA because I assumed that most would be familiar with them. But seeing as I have them both in my squad, I may as well post a screenie of them both. @Snedd, have you got a screen of vas?
skinnymalinky
I've made 3 batches of upload for your viewing pleasure. The 1st batch is a selection of bargains and best buys for the Russian league (or any league of a similar standard). http://img41.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=sosnovskiy.jpg The 2nd is most, if not all, the -9s from Eastern Europe excluding the Czech Rep. I accidentally saved a player 3 times so I have not posted a screen of Smolov or Kalinic. Sorry. http://img124.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=torje.jpg The last batch is a selection of top Russian talents including the holy grail of the Russian league, Alan Dzagoev. http://img24.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=zhirkov.jpg

Gaspode13
Razvan Rat - decent LB, transfer listed at the beginning of the first season Ivan Ivanov - pretty solid CD if you're playing a mid-level team. Can also play at LB. Avalible for around 1m at the start of the game Blagoy Georgiev - Decent AMRC. Although i doubt he'll be interested in a transfer at the beginning and he's 26 so... I can tell you one that will be great in the new game (provided researchers can do half a decent job) - Spas Delev He's brutally underrated in this game though
skinnymalinky
Delev on FM09 Drakul (which sounds like the Romanian Dracul, which means The Devil)

the-craig
Gojko Kacar, he can play centre back, centre defensive mid, and centre mid. Cost a little more than some of the others I've seen here but still one worth buying for any top premier league club fitted straight into my Man Utd midfield. He was valued at around £5million at the start of the 2nd season but I've had to pay upto about £11million however that does include performance related payments. skinnymalinky
What kind of teams will these players come just started with a lower league club and got taken over by tycoon huge budget so... just scout then and see. i'm sure most of the bargain buys i've listed will come. @craig, yep, Kacar is a top quality player, but as he doesn't start in Eastern Europe I didn't bother to list him....well actually I listed sivikov who starts in italy but mainly because I had never seen/heard of him before. btw, Ive uploaded some shortlists for Eastern Europe http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=146888
