Ty
Robert Acquafresco The Italian Goal Machine Date of Birth: September 11, 1987 Height: 1.84m Playing position: Striker Current Club: Atlanta (On Loan From Genoa) Value: £3,400,000 - £4,000,000 Born in Turin to an Italian father and a Polish mother residing in Alpignano, Acquafresca entered the Torino youth system at the age of 6. Acquafresca has been capped for Italian U-17s, U18s, U19s and more recently the Under-21 side, making his debut in a qualifying match against Albania. Acquafresca is rated as one of Italy's future prospects and his pace on the ball is lightning fast and finishing inside the box is cool and calm for such a young player. In Football Manager 2009 In FM09, Acquafresca is a very prolific goalscorer, very deadly inside the 18 yard box, but every so often he will attempt a amazing effort from outside the box. You cant pick him up in the first season due to his loan spell at Cagliari, but at the end of the season you can get him for around £8m or so. And in my own eyes, hes worth every penny and he will repay you in goals in big games as well as small. For example he has proven worthy at Man United, Arsenal and a brief spell at Barcelona for me, scoring a 15 goal season from the bench and when played for every game possible in a season for Arsenal, netting 27 in all competitions. The screenshot is of him in 2008 basically when you first start, most of you would of heard of him but i didn't see a thread so thought i might point you people who don't in the right direction of a goalscorer! JackEdwards
Very good player, I hopefully will pick him up at the end of the first season with Sunderland.
Tubey84
I love the presentation However, I've never been able to get Acquefresca firing on FM09. He just seems to have a lack of "something" that makes alternative options more desirable every time.
Ty
I dont hear people mention him tho? Glad someone has some sence hey Let me know how he gets on for sunderland, as iv had him at man city and he wasnt mixing well, but when he was with the bigs clubs i said, he was amazing! Welshace
eclipsed totally by his compatriot paloschi tbh.. but still a good little striker for a mid sized team if you can get the price down i think
Fabregas18
Nice starting post, Tyoldinho . I like the way you first introduce him as a player in real life, and then writes about him in FM. Not many people on these forums does that. Good work.
Forza_Napoli17
Hes a very hit & miss striker i have found , will do well in mid table sides.
Sel
didnt score for me in 2 years with 30 apps. Sold him for a small profit but was clearly not happy with the contribution to the team. Maybe better instructions are required
vrv
Turns out to be a class striker...besides Paloschi he might be the next Inzaghi. He played like a poacher in most of Cagliari's games last season. Usually hugs the defensive line trying to beat the trap. In FM I haven't had much experience with him but he has potential.
Ty
Fabregas18 Cheers mate, glad you liked it. I thought if your going to make a player thread, its better to do it properly It seems mates i speak to and you lot class him as a hit and miss, i have never really had a problem with him, hes always been consistent with me. strange huh? and yes, Paloschi does turn out alot better and more world class but also sets up alot of goals, but Acquafresca does do the job as a finisher and more of a goalscorer! naspa
worked very well for me; when at inter he was about 2 mil after 1 season; better then Paloschi on all my saves; Acquafresca PA=180; Paloschi PA= -9; Paloschi will never be better from PA view then Acquafresca; Acquafresca better finisher all day long; But Paloschi's physical abilities are wiked, his natural fitness goes a long way
Ty
i have a screenshot of both in 2017, and belive me.. Paloschi becomes some sort of god with the right training etc. He becomes better than Paloschi in near all of my saves.
JackEdwards
Is 8M worth it for him? Signing him for Sunderland..
Ty
£8m is normally a perfect price, unless your city.. then they want like £120m haha! For sunderland thats a definate purchase mate, Bargain
mcrinion
If you buy him right at the start of the game you can get for around 2.3 to 3 million. You have to wait till the end of the season but at that price he is worth the wait.
