RT--
I can never remember this - but if I sell a player just after the end of the season (in May), will I still be able to spend that money come July/August (ie, will it be added to next season's transfer budget), or will it disappear as soon as the board announce their expectations & budget for the new season? SCIAG
It will be included in the board's calculations for the transfer budget.
RT--
Ah right. So if I sell a player for £10m now, next season's budget will be (whatever it was going to be) + (£10m)? That would be the most sensible option, but I have this paranoia that it'll disappear if I don't spend it within this season
SCIAG
Roughly, yeah. It's a bit more complicated than that though I think!
Wee Aja
Depends on your chairman's attribute for 'resources' I would imagine.
RT--
Hmm, so if I waited until they announced the budget for the season and then sold the player for £10m (assuming I have 100% of transfer revenue made available for spending), I'd be safer? SCIAG
Yes, that would help you keep it all.
RT--
Ah, that's what I thought. Of course, there'll be some jiggery-pokery when the new season begins and nobody'll want the bugger for £10m anymore
SCIAG
Indeed .
