GersFan
As soon as the 3-D option was introduced, I've never given it a second thought......3-D all the way for me. However, recently I've started to doubt that choice. The 3-D is great, in the sense that it's more enjoyable watching the match in that way. However, from a management point of view is 2-D more beneficial ? I switched to 2-D during a recent match, and I found it much easier to spot what my wide men were doing on and off the ball in my 4-3-3 system, as well as realising that my holding midfielder was getting himself into some rather strange positions. I'm starting to think I'll start spotting a lot more from a tactical point of view if I watch games in 2-D. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Cheers. el duderino
2D until the 3D graphics are clear enough to analyse the game. And in the real world I always watch games from the sky in a baloon.

Never really been a fan of the 2D tbh.
The_Future\'s_Maroon
I am a mix of all three, games I class as 'easy' I just watch the commentary, although that can switch to 2D or 3D if I lose a goal!! 3D - I use for big games 2D - my main one but as I said above, it can change depending on how the game is going! Robin_ellis_19
2D for me as 3D stutters a bit and i find its easy to see the whole perspective of the game.

reflection22
I only really use text commentary, as I can get through seasons much quicker that way. The exceptions are: Cup finals and the last league match of the season, which I always watch in 3d. When I first take over a team- I like to watch the first few matches in 3d. When I have made new signings to 'see how good they look' in 3d.

bardock
Has to be 2D because 3D is too hideous right now. Felt like I was playing a cheap knock off when I tried watching it on 3D.

The Colonel
I began my FM09 career on a rubbish computer that couldnt handle 3-D So i was unfortunately stuck with 2-D. I did however get a laptop a while ago that was capable of 3-D, but i didnt realise this and stuck with 2-D until a few months ago when i switched over. So both for me. Guest Von Scharpling
I like commentary because a) it's fast and b) you think less about silly mistakes you see that aren't considered mistakes by the match engine.
IMT
3D, I don't get peoples critisisms of this (unless of course it's a computer issue), text only and 2D is total crap in comparisum!
Flemming1966
Will try 3D in 2010. Didn't like it in 2009. I will give it a chance and if I don't like it, I'll go back to 2D
dave byrd
3-D I could never use 2-D now. Yep, same here, just like when 2-d was released i could never go back to commentary.
Magnakai Haaskivi
Does the 2D identify players as numbers or names? I never know what number my players are wearing.
SCIAG
Does the 2D identify players as numbers or names? I never know what number my players are wearing. Numbers at all times, names when involved with play or when you click on them.
Suttface
Good original thread this one What is the point of this post? I find it far more irritating that people enter discussion simply to patronise people than people who publish 'repeat' threads; the title of the thread is crystal clear. If you don't want to read another thread about 2D vs 3D then please feel free to ignore it and post on threads that interest you. Back on topic, 2D all the way. I find the ball too 'weightless' in 3D and some of the animations are less than smooth. FM2010 may change my mind...

Indi75
3D, the 2D is now meaningless since there's no discernable ball height and dots just seem to merge in a way that undermines any impression of proximity.
sheriffpatgarrett
Never thought the 3d was good enough, so I´m happy with 2d (classic). Didn´t buy the game for 3d anyway. Maybe FM2010 will be different though. Surely looks promising anyway. Might give it a go then.
