froog
I am currently playing in the championship, i left rangers for bolton as i felt i needed a new challenge in the game, ive just signed for them. its january transfer window and i try to buy a player off an average premiership side i offer 4 times his wages and offer him a release clause in the contract non promotion release for 5mill the same amount i am paying for him. he rejects the contract offer stating he doesnt want to drop a division! i am 3rd in championship 1 point behind 2nd, does anybody think that this would happen in real life?? seeing as i'm quadrupling his wages and only have half a season to go in the league! i think this could be improved in future releases somehow. what do you guys think???? baker.simon
Depends if the player is greedy or not . Its more to do with reputation, the league your in is lower than the prem so therefore has a lower reputation.
froog
i think its more common sense though if i didnt go up theres the release clause in place for another club to take him, its quite frustrating.

Then thats down to player personality in real life, however in Fm, its reputation based.
