I've been watching full matches, and I tried it once I was 3-0 up in a few friendlies (usually around the halftime), but haven't noticed any difference in behavior on the pitch. In fact, I'd usually score a goal or two until the end of the game as well. I suppose it should be tried against more serious opponents, though.
