Unknown Hacker
Just an update about Paul Gordon: 67 goals in 35 matches with 1 substitute appearance. But the bad news is underneath the contract info. Chairman accepted the offer without asking me. So my two best strikers are going to Bohemians and Celtic respectively. http://yfrog.com/2ppaulgordonp

PaulHartman71
I'm further than him by a few months, although I'm doing the dafuge challenge so holidayed a season. Unknown Hacker
I still have Paul Gordon playing for me for the first half of the season so far... But he should get about 130 goals in his career for me. I hope to buy him back when St. Blazey are in the prem! Currently doing Roberto922's challenge, which is just an extended version of dafuge's challenge. Started at level 10, now at level 8. And looking good for another promotion push. santy001
Bought Keirrison after his loan spell at Benfica finished, first season he ended having played 43 and scoring 32. It's a shame Ronaldo isn't like 16 at the start of this game, he scored almost 60 in 2 seasons as a relatively old, past it player, with 20 finishing 20 composure he would have been a good shout for it this year. Keirrison won't make anywhere near his 1,900 this time I suspect, partially due to the fact I have gotten a hold of him 2 years later than I did last time, and haven't had as much chance to mould him the way I would really want to. hamilton162
I'm coming up to the end of my next season, Brennan could/should have broken the 700 barrier by the end of it, he's well on the way to another 100 club goal season

I'm going to have to keep on playing up until he hits the 2,000 mark now; he should hit it this season. Also never saw the transfer for Keirrison, but it was only 70m or so upfront, I have had issues with a few transfers. Martin Rusol was loaned to a side with a future fee of £4.75m and it somehow ended up going through at £16m. It was started on 9.2 though, so there's a few bugs still in there. markymarky
wow, I didn't realise that getting to the 1,000 in any version of the game was relatively rare. I really have to recover my old hard drive and dig out my FM06 Stefano Corrado screenshots; 20 glorious years at AC Milan in which he scored 969 club goals and 160 international goals (those figures - burned onto my mind). Made extra special (I'm going to insist) by having fairly prolific strike partners throughout that time too. A couple of seasons, in fact, where he didn't even make top goalscorer.
NepentheZ
60 Goals left for Smylie. Its been tough going this season though, only 3 goals in 11 games this season, and 2 in the last 2. NepentheZ
49 Goals left for Smylie. He just put 4 past FC Koln in the Champs League. hamilton162
Well done so far hamilton Lets hope Brennan continues on to the 1,000 mark. Cheers Nep It's been a fantastic career so far in terms of the team and Brennan. I'm hoping that he can keep this sort of strike rate up for about 2/3 more years, as then he'll get to 1,000 easily and i can switch him to the AMC position and stick Marc Beckford (My Son) up front to try and get him to 1,000 as well 49 Goals left for Smylie. He just put 4 past FC Koln in the Champs League! He now has 14 Goals in 19 games, which is much better total than 3 in 11. 13 in his last 9 games, too. Raware
Some great achievements here and one hopefully i'll be able to achieve. Raware
Ah, just wondered as he's bagged 39 U21 goals already. Just received his first international cap Here's his profile - Arnau Abad As you know as you're following my thread in the careers forum, i'm currently in Argentina and I bought this guy nearly 3 years ago. He's dubbed the new Hugo Rodallega which is what made me splash £1M on him despite him being 18 years old. He hit 12 goals in 25 games in his first season and 48 goals in 55 games last season. This year he's netted 33 goals in 34 games and there's still maybe 20 games to go. I'm really hopeful that he could make it to 1,000 as it's something i've never managed to achieve. I just hope I can keep hold of him!
NepentheZ
24 goals in 24 games now for Smylie, means he's now just 39 goals away from 3,000. Its getting close. He's having good and bad spells almost every 3-5 games. I'd be so happy if he gets to 3,000 this season, and then still doesn't retire. 3,100 - or just 3,000 CLUB goals, would be immense. NepentheZ
2 pretty awesome things, and 1 slightly not awesome thing. 1. 19 Goals to go. I REALLY hope he does it this season. 2. After suggesting he would make a good coach, instead of the usual "Smylie just wants to concentrate on playing" and his future plans saying "Probably not going to stay in the game once he retires" - he has changed his attitude. He would now "prefer a coaching role, should he stay in the game", and in the news article, he is "Edging closer to staying in the game". The bad thing is, that with this news, it could mean this is his last season. Leaving him a MAXIMUM of 18 games to get 19 goals, and a minimum of 13 games. 'mon the goals. Fantastic news Nep Just because he is edging closer to staying in the game, doesn't mean that he's going to retire at the end of this season. I've managed to pursuade a player to stay in the game and he lasted 3 more years before finally hanging up his boots. NepentheZ
He only has 13 more goals to go. He won't get there this season, but he will get close. Probably expect another 3-5 goals from him this season. If he DID retire, I would be so gutted If he has 1, 2 or even 3 more seasons, I'll be so happy. He still has attribtues that are good enough for him to keep playing. When wallace retired, so many attributes were at 1-5, but with smylie, he still has a good pool.
