Horrorwood
You do have a DVD drive not a CD drive right?

zak bentley
If the system specs for FM09 were the same how come FM10 wont install?
Steve Cox
ah I don't but FM09 worked fine? FM09 required a DVD drive as well, it's on the back of the box. How did you get that to work if you didn't have a dvd drive (Unless you downloaded via Steam)
zak bentley
I don't remeber how I got it to work although definitely used Steam for FM09. What difference would Steam make? I didn't do the demo this year via steam though if that's relevant.
Robbie S
I'm afraid a DVD drive is required. If you downloaded the game through Steam last year it would have worked fine however, as it would this year.
zak bentley
I think with Steam last year my brother registered it on his computer then I used the account to register on mine, if that helps? didn't buy from steam but installed on steam. rovers-chris109
I am having the same problem. I do have a DVD drive yet when I put the disk in nothing happens. When I go on "My Computer" and click the DVD drive a box comes up saying "Prepare this blank disc". FM09 did work for me using the disk.

mcmaster
Same problem here: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=158638 I don't know what it's happening with the DVD's and some DVD drives.
trekman
I think its a copy protection problem with the disk. I had a hell of a time trying to install the game but thankfully it eventually did.
jakobx
o oh..now im afraid...Ive had problems with "unreadable" disks before. We'll see if it works when the game arrives. Regarding steam. Do you need the disk or can you just enter the activation code into steam and it downloads the game?
