paulowen
Does the option when you choose your reputation at the start of a game make any difference and if so in what way?
andrespringett
well your starting reputation is enhanced. I.E sunday league = unproven semi-pro = closer to local/reginal proffesional = closer to regional/national international = closer to national you will start with 'unproven always' but the higher it starts the quicker you can build up your rep. also, if you manage a prem team with sunday league experience you may have some players stating that they doubt you have the experience to lead the club forward. also you may be given more time at a lower club if you were a international footballer. overall i guess you could say its a difficulty setting, from past experience i once made myself international football, and got offered better jobs than the lewes job i took first of all quite quickly. not realistic enough, personally i always go for sunday league. hope this helps mate
djibril'sbird
^^ what he said. also, it adds a roleplaying element to the game. you can emulate a past hero if you want to, or you can pretend to be a newly retiried thirty-something former professional footballer looking to make it as a manager. i for one, enjoy this feature.
