Makonnen
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3129639/Ethiopia.xml This is aimed at career games: as such, while I have added all of the people that I could find, the goal is not a realistic recreation of the present state of football in Ethiopia. Instead, the goal is to create a structure that supports a 10 to 100 year career game. The biggest thing it adds is over 600 players, each with actual Ethiopian names (Ethiopia has very distinctive names compared to the other countries lumped together as East Africa in FM2010). Also added are two 16 team leagues with promotion/relegation, 2 domestic cups, money sponsorships at an appropriate level for the economics of the league, over 20 awards, etc. Full details of what was added can be found here: http://2010career.blogspot.com/2009/11/ethiopian-players-league-file.html The career game this was designed for will be updated at that blog as well (http://2010career.blogspot.com/), if anyone is interested. My guess is I'll start around the holidays, and will create a thread in Career Games then. Comments, improvements, etc. all welcomed!

Makonnen
A couple very small changes today to reflect some info from over the weekend (the download link remains the same). Also, I am still struggling with how to reduce St. George's dominance--in replays, they tend to go nearly undefeated, and while they are clearly the strongest side (despite a dissapointing start to the current season IRL), they shouldn't be _that_ dominant. So, if you want a challenge, take over any of the other teams.
Ieuano
ok cheers, i had a few other xml's loaded and i one of them caused me a crash, very irritating, just been promoted with Debre Berhan City too, so restart with the update i think
Makonnen
Sweet! How cool that someon is using this! I am thinking of overhauling the finances here--the game seems to have a floor in terms of how low it makes sense to set them, so the $300 sponsorships, while OK in terms of the Ethiopian economy, are overwhelmed quickly by the game. Will post here when that is done.
Makonnen
Updated! Current version is compatible with 10.2, and has been tested on autoplay through 2020. This release adds some good stuff, including: * All-Africa Challenge. Cup between all default African leagues. * Ethio-Italian Friendship Cup, between Ethiopian teams and Serie D teams (history buffs should smile). * Red & Arabian Sea States Cup. Major Middle-Eastern cup. Dominated by Saudi teams, but a chance for lower teams to make some money. Money has been updated so it works a little more smoothly. More details here: http://2010career.blogspot.com/2009/11/ethiopian-players-league-file.html File available at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3129639/Ethiopia_10.2.dbc or, always, on the front page at http://2010Career.blogspot.com/
