After the chairman annoying the hell out of me by selling off two key youngsters for a complete pittance, I have wroked out how to beat him! My chairman accepted a bid of £4.7m from Aston Villa for my star young defender. He wanted to leave, but I desperately wanted to keep him. I knew he'd sign, what could I do? I offered him out to other clubs for £1m. I had plenty of takers, and eventually he agreed to sign for Sunderland. Since he didn't sign for Aston Villa, I could click the 'Accept/Delay/Cancel' button. So I delayed it a week (closer to the closing of the transfer window) and then cancelled it. You would also need to do this BEFORE your chairman accepted a bid, which unless you had just saved the game or did it for every player it would be a bit annoying.
