vitoco77 Posted December 13, 2009 Author Share Posted December 13, 2009 Well I'm a huge fan of China 1, a tactic that really has done wonders for me (playing lower league sides) and that makes very weak teams overperform!!! But motivated by the posts here decided to make an half season test with China 2, and very honestly simply can't make it work, even making all the suggeted twekings. The same team that was almost devastating to opposition teams with China 1 now seems lost, missing too many passes and unable to handle their wingers and strikers... What makes me mad is that I have no idea what I'm doing wrong... I have similar thought too now in fact...However has anyone achieved anything big with China1? I played 3 seasons with Stuttgart, however I never gone far in the CL. I won obviously 3 leagues, but no cups. The only I HATE abt China 1 is that you cant really defence against AI's long shots. I've been testing a transformed version of China 1 for a while with pretty good results. I simply changed one of the side strikers into an DMC, with the exact same settings as the other DMC. It gives a much more solid formation at the back and still pretty dangerous upfront. Still you might want to do the small tweaks already suggested in China1 thread against strong teams or defending a result: more time-wasting, D.line to normal, slow tempo, defensive mentality, etc.. mitjabarbic Posted December 14, 2009 Share Posted December 14, 2009 i use the original china 2 tactic and still works i noticed that it works amazing if you get a red card - i just played against Aston Villa who are far from a poor tea, they are 5th in the league and i got a red card in 11th minute (defender) i didnt make any major changes i just put AMC to AMRC (not AMR..) and subbed a midfielder with a DC..kept 2 strikers and eerything..same mentality -------st---st------- -----------amc------ ------mc------------ wbl-----dmc------wbr ------dc----dc------- ----------gk--------- i won 6:1 (shots 23 (14 on goal) and 7 clear cut chances) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Don't have much time to play though, but my Southampton got 14 wins and 1 draw at the moment. So far Lambert (playing him as right striker) scored 16 in 16 matches, and Saganowski (left striker) 12 goals in 16 matches. Those games I won at least 4 goals. If away, I am still trying to have a good strategy, however if their wingers are good, I alway tight mark them and the strikers, put the D-line deeper, or even put the 2 wingbacks to full back positions, if more, then change the wingbacks tasks to fullbacks and defence. I don't know if it is success or not, I only lost 2 games in 20 games. 1 away to Chelsea, and Richards happily pass the ball to Lampard's feet for the long shot. The other was Sevilla in CL. Got 2-0 leads, but then lost 4-2 to them at the end of the match. Yes poor defending! However I knew that I needed 2 goals at home to win the game but the team won 8-0! Yes 8-0 in a CL game!!! There are really 3 teams in Turkey to play against, the other teams are for you to get the GD. Perhaps you may try with an average team in another leauge?! I consider China 1 was a success, tried it with Man City (yes all the money in the world, but dont forget I never spent it!) and Stuttgart (Yes they were 3rd from the bottom last week in real life!). I am almost won the EPL with Man City with few games to play, 10pts ahead of Chelsea! With Sutttgart, just started my 1st game away to Schalke but they got a late goal so drew 1-1 only! I will test it more with Stuttgart to see where I get to just before the winter break! I want to try it with my home team Braga but portuguese league has only got few teams to play against so I consider it is very boring! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was using the tweaked version with a seriously-weakened ManU side against Fulham, away. I was 1-0 down at the end of the first half, I switched to this version in the second half and impressively scored 4 goals in just 18 minutes to go 4-1 up. Conceeded a late goal so the game ended 4-2. I will continue using the tactic to see if it can live up to the hype. Matrakan, don't write here unless you know English.
