Just doing an end of season update now which should cover that. No wonderkids that I can see at a brief glance, I think we'll see that next season. But a couple of players touted as "the next ........". And quite a few transfer bids floating about.

End of season 07/08 update

Adaminho- After an impressive season in Rangers' Under-19 side Adaminho was made available for loan to get some valuable first team experience. And for the last 10 games of the season the England U-19 international joined Cardiff's relegation battle. In his 10 loan appearances Adaminho scored 4 goals with 2 assists, 1 MoM award and an average rating of 7.00. In his spell at Cardiff he recieved praise from Charlton's Alan Pardew and his own manager Walter Smith, although he couldn't help save them from relegation. His natural instinct to find the back of the net has led to him being touted as the next Robbie Fowler. And if he takes this momentum in to next season Adaminho may find himself in the side to help break Celtic's hold on te SPL title.

Jose Manuel Arevalo- Jose's season has been a baptism of fire for the young centre-back. Having been instantly introduced to first-team football, Jose found himself becoming a main stay in Millwall's relegation battle, playing 53 games this season with an average rating of 6.45. As Millwall finished 21st and face League 2 football, it will hard to see Jose joining them as Sheffield Utd have placed a £275k + clauses bid. Jose also made his 7th appearance for Andorra, and enjoyed his first international victory over Chinese Taipei, 3-0.

Mike Bird- Mike's solid performances in the Man City reserves, scoring 4 in 10, finally led to a first team opportunity. Eriksson gave the rangy striker a run out in two sub appearances, including the final game of the season which saw City seal 6th place and European qualification. Mike also made his second Portuguese U-21 appearance in a 2-1 victory over Turkey. Next season could see the 6'9" powerhouse break though to first team football.

Bobinho- Bobinho's dream Premiership move turned in to a nightmare after a broken leg ruled him out for 5 months. The agony was compounded when shortly after his return, he pulled a hamstring in training and was ruled out for a further 3 weeks. His return to fitness led to a reserve team record of 7 goals in 12 games with an average rating of 7.00. But amongst the negatives, Bobinho was handed his third Welsh Under-21 cap against Iceland. Bobinho will hope that next season will be injury free, and he can finally realise the potential he showed glimpses of.

Peter Brown- Despite Brown's 17 league goals in 35 games, he couldn't help a woeful Stafford side avoid relegation. Just when you would expect the vultures to start circling around the young striker, Brown broke down in training, suffering career threatening damaged cruciate ligaments. With 4 to 7 months out of football, can the youngster come back as the prospect he once was?

Adam Clatworthy- Adam finished the season as he started with excellent all round performances. With 25 goals in 48 games, 12 assists and 15 MoM awards Clatworthy helped guide his side to 2nd place in the league, and promotion to league 2 via the playoffs. His goal in the playoff semi-finals was bittersweet, as he had sealed victory, but subsequently picked up a yellow card and found himself banned from the playoff final. Despite his loyalty, the BSP's second top scorer has attracted a £160k+ clauses bid from Wigan. And it is hard to imagine anything stopping the move unless a better offer comes in.

Alfonso de silva Santos- The Andorran international has impressed with his goal scoring form this season, netting 25 times in 45 games for playoff contending Stevenage. At just 16, the 6'6" striker has claimed his 6th international cap, but has yet to score for his home country. As Santos will sign a professional contract next season, it will be interesting to see if his club cash in on the young prospect, or hold on for another promotion push. When the team made it to the playoff final, losing by a single goal, they will have to decide between a cash injection, or a 25 goal a season striker.

Robert Dillon- After an impressive season guiding Torquay to the playoff semi-finals, Dillon found himself embroiled in the hurricane of transfer activity. Both old firm clubs were interested in the youngsters 16 goals, 15 assists, 12 MoM awards and a rating of 7.29 from 48 games on the left wing. But it was Ipswich who won the race to sign the striker with a £220k+clauses bid set to transfer the player on 1/07/2010. With the youngsters solid conference showing, next season will show if he can thrive equally well on the big stage. Or if he will suffer subterranean homesick blues.

Fredinho- This season has been brilliant for the explosive striker. His move to Championship Scunthorpe has seen him become a first team regular, with 19 goals in 40 appearances. His excellent perfromances helped guide his side to 4th place in the league, only to lose out in the playoff semi-final. His form has seen him become one of the divisions top scorers, and most promising youngsters. Fredinho has remained on the fringe of the Welsh national side while he still waits patiently for his first cap.

Frketson- The commanding centre-back has found himself become a regular fixture in the reserve team following his move to Wigan. After making 20 appearances, he was given his chance in the first team and has earned himself 3 Premiership starts as his side secured a 10th place finish. Frketson has yet to be called up internationally, although he has stated he would favour Croatia over his second nation, Brazil.

Pablo Gonzalez- The 17 year-old Halifax striker has been in great form this season. His 22 goals in 40 starts helping his side to a playoff semi final appearance. As his sides stand out performer, it is hard to see the Mexican Under-19 international staying around for too long. Although there has yet to be any public decleration of interest in the player.

Haowan- Haowan has been on excellent form for the Portsmouth Under-18 side since his move, scoring 15 goals in 11 starts and an average rating of 8.08. This form earned Haowan his second Premiership appearance as a sub in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham. But Pompey, finishing in 18th, have found themselves relegated to the Championship. However, this could be a blessing in disguise. As the big players could leave the club, next season could be Haowan's chance to break through to the first team.

Juan King- Juan has impressed his manager Roy Keane following his move to Sunderland. With 22 goals in 25 games in Under-18 and reserve matches Juan has established himself as a fringe first team player. With numerous appearances on the bench, King has made one Premiership start and a sub appearance so far. Next season looks promising as Juan King appears to be an integral part of Roy Keane's future plans. Particularly promising is his removal from the reserves and inclusion in the first team squad. Internationally, Juan failed to add to his single Northern Irish cap. But his Under-21 form has been excellent, scoring 3 in 4 games.

Quincy Klapatross- With Reading's strong strikeforce it would always be tough for Quincy to make an impact. But he has shown his potential with solid performances in the Under-18 and reserve teams, scoring 11 in 23 starts. Quincy has found himself become a regular in the Dutch Under-19 squad and has recently been moved from the reserves to the first team setup. Which could bode well for next season.

Callum McCarthy- Callum has been a real breakthrough performer amongst the conference signings. His consistent reserve team performences were rewarded with a first team opportunity which he ceased. By the end of the season the youngster made 15 first team starts and 10 substitute appearances, most of which were on the left wing, scoring 4 and creating 2 goals. But his efforts could not help a weak Derby side slump to 20th place and relegation. Callum could stay to aid Derby's Championship campaign, but with interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool the England Under-21 international could find himself playing amongst the big four next season.

Brendan Petersen- Following his move to relegation threatened Burnley, Brendan soon established himself as a first team regular. Although he conceded 27 in 15 games, with a rating of 6.47, it was enough to save Burnley from relegation. And his potential earned him an Australian Under-21 cap amongst some strong goalkeeping candidates. Next season could show Petersen settle at Burnley, as long as his manager retains faith in such a young keeper.

Loic Philippens- while the Belgian forward has impressed many backroom staff since his arrival, he has only made one brief appearance in mid-table Fulham's league campaign. Scoring 14 in 32 games for the under 18's, Loic impressed enough to be named Belgian Under-19 captain and secure a regular place in the Under-19 side. His perfectionist attitude has brought interest from mid-table French side Toulouse. But whether he will leave the Premiership for France is dependent on them meeting Fulham's valuation of their hot-prospect.

Tom van der Fish- The explosive striker has thrived since joining West Ham's famous youth setup. In the Under-18 squad he has scored 10 in 12 starts with a rating of 7.67, form which has earned him a place in Northern Ireland's Under-21 squad. As West Ham narrowly avoided relegation, Tom could enjoy premiership football next season. But after the Hammers' 2-1 FA Cup victory over Arsenal, Tom could also find himself getting a taste of European action.

Arthur White- White's consistent performances continued for the entirity of West Brom's Championship campaign. His 17 goals and 7 assists in 41 starts and a rating of 7.22 were crucial in helping West Brom hit 2nd place and gain automatic promotion. Arthur was the Championship's joint third highest rated player which has led to him being valued at £2.2m and dubbed 'The next Michael Owen'. Arthur will undoubtably be looking forward to next season's premiership campaign and will hope he can continue his excellent form.

Ben Whitehead- Whitehead has recovered well following the setback of a broken ankle and has kept his fitness to play 38 games for Salisbury. But with Ben set to sign a professional contract, his side only finished 21st in the league and will be relegated from the conference. How long the iron willed winger will stick around the lower leagues is hard to guess. But when he comes of age, it would be hard to imagine a bigger club not signing him.

Just caught up on the action, great to see Reading make a bid.

Not a bad goals per game ratio in the under 18s either, and a call up to the Dutch squad, thats an awesome first season.

To cap it all, PSV are interested.

This is a great sign up, the updates are well written and make it more like following a story rather than just stats.

Better news for him though, he just signed a new contract and he's now the best paid player in the sign-up on £10,500 per week. Looks like he'll be first team next season judging by the pre-season squad.

Pre-season 08/09 update

Adaminho- Following his successful loan spell at Cardiff, the man dubbed 'the next Robbie Fowler' will be hoping to get given a chance of first team football at Rangers this season. And the early signs are good. Included in the first team squad Adaminho started two pre-season friendlies and bagged 3 goals with an average rating of 8.00. Although he was left out of the 1st leg of the champions league qualifier against Metalurgs, a disappointing 1-1 draw may mean Adaminho gets a change to liven up the misfiring Rangers attack. And if he isn't given the chance, a move may be on the cards, with both Fulham and West Ham interested in signing the ambitious striker.

Jose Manuel Arevalo- Having spent tough season with relegated Millwall last year, Jose did himself proud playing 41 games at such a young age. Sheffield United recognised his talent and made a £425k bid for the centre-back, which was accepted. Giving Jose his third club in as many years. Having played in two pre-season friendlies with a rating of 7.00, the signs are promising that Arevalo will be a first team regular in United's championship campaign.

Mike Bird- Mike struggled to break through the Man City ranks last seasonas has found himself on a season long loan to Australian club Perth Glory. While it could be seen as a good chance for the giant striker to get first team football, Mike will hope that it doesn't effect his role in the Portuguese Under-21 squad.

Bobinho- After an injury ravaged season last year, Bobinho will be grateful to get some quality playing time under his belt. Having been given one pre-season start, and promptly scoring, the Welsh Under-21 is now included in the Boro first team squad. And he will hope to be given his first Premiership appearance soon.

Peter Brown- The end of the season couldn't have been much worse for Brown. Not only was his Stafford side relegated relegated to the Blue square North, but he suffered a potentially career threatening cruciate ligament injury. With 2 to 5 months remaining before he recovers, Brown will hope to get back to full fitness and escape the lower leagues. Although that may be with or without Stafford.

Adam Clatworthy- After last years excellent form, guiding Aldershot back to the football league, Adam was being watched by a number of big clubs. In a flurry of transfer activity, the Shots accepted a £160k bid from Sunderland and Clatworthy was happy to join Roy Keane's premiership club. Finding himself in the reserves with other former conference star Juan King, Adam will hope to pick up on last season's form and impress his new manager.

Alfonso de silva Santos- In the pre-season, Alfonso became a professional player, signing a pre-agreed contract with Stevenage. At just 16, the Andorran international will hope to add to last season's tally of 22 goals and make his name known to the scouts watching the Blue square Premier. Although any clubs who are interested may need to meet the £650,000 valuation of the player.

Robert Dillon- Having completed his move to Championship Ipswich, Dillon will hope to pick up from last years excellent form for Torquay. And the signs are promising, as he finds himself included in the Ipswich first team squad and considered indispensable to the club. After two pre-season matches, the versatile forward bagged two goals with an average rating of 7.50. And his ability to play on the left wing, as well as up front, will undoubtably be to his major benefit. But like a rolling stone, Dillon will not be content to stop there, as he also has hopes to establish an international role with Montenegro. The times, they are a-changing, and for Dillon the changes look to be for the better.

Fredino- As one of last season's most consistent Championship stars, 19 year-old Fredinho will look to continue to establish himself further this year. Valued at £2.3m, Scunthorpe obviously rate the ambitious striker and hope that they can go one better this season and seal promotion to the Premier league. Fredino will also be keen to turn his regular inclusions in the Welsh national squad in to caps. And if he continues with the same drive that he finished last year with, it can only be a matter of time.

Frketson- While last season was spent establishing himself in the reserves, it looks like his patience could all pay off. The Croatian finds himself as a key part of Wigan's first team plans after starting 3 pre-season games and recently signing a new contract on £10,500 a week until 2013. The commanding centre-back is now considered an important part of the first team. And will hope that a run of Premiership performances will also earn him his first Croatian cap.

Pablo Gonzalez- After impressing last year with 15 goals for Halifax, Pablo became another conference starlet to make the move upwards. However, Gonzalez has opted for more exotic surroundings than most, choosing Spanish LIGA BBVA side Elche over Burnley in a £300k move. While he will look to establish himself in Spain, the striker dubbed the new Jared Borgetti could find himself on the move relatively soon with a low minimum release fee clause of £300k.

Haowan- After two appearances in the Premier league last season, Haowan would have been optimistic about his chances to establish himself in relegated Portsmouth's Championship campaign. However, as Defoe, Nugent and other strikers have stayed at the club, and attacker Loic Philippens has been signed. Haowan has found himself pushed down the pecking order. Although it is not unreasonable to think that Haowan could get first team football, it looks like he'll have to impress in the reserves first.

Juan King- While Juan King is generally best alone, the Northern Ireland international is now partnered in the Sunderland reserve team by national team mate and fellow conference star, Adam Clatworthy. Whether this will turn out to be too much competition, or the opportunity to form a promising young partnership, only time will tell. With 2 premiership appearances last year, it is clear that Juan King is at the forefront of Roy Keane's plans. But with Newcastle said to be interested, Keane may have to assure Juan of a first team chance to keep hold of the explosive striker.

Quincy Klapatross- After spending a season in Reading's reserves with one premiership appearance, Quincy would have been desperate for some first team football. And his prayers were answered when French side Valencinnes FC made a £1.9 million bid and signed the striker. With the French Ligue 1 side set to struggle against relegation, it will be interesting to see if the gamble for first team football will pay off. But it is clear that Quincy is a big part of Valenciennes future plans after a big investment. Quincy could also find himself with more immediate success as he joins the Dutch U-23 side in their quest for Olympic gold.

Callum McCarthy- Despite interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, last year's breakthrough premiership star has stayed put at relegated Derby for their championship campaign. Valued at £2.1 million the England Under-21 star will be an integral part of Derby's quest to return to the Premier league. In the summer, Callum was included in the England Under-19 squad for the Euro U-19 championship. Despite solid personal performances, England went out at the first stage on goal difference. Despite the disappointment, Callum was rated as one of the best passers in the tournament with a 75% completion rate. Next season promises to be his chance to shine.

Brendan Petersen- At just 17, Brendan found himself thrust in to Burnley's championship relegation dogfight last season. And he will hope to get more starts this season as he competes for the Number 1 jersey with Gabor Kiraly. While it looks like he could be second choice, there is no doubt that the Australian Under-21 international gained crucial experience last year and will look to learn as much as possible this season.

Loic Philippens- Last season Loic impressed many with his performances in the Fulham second string. And while scouts rated the player, it seemed that Fulham were reluctant to give him his big break. Relegated Portsmouth saw the chance to lure the explosive forward with the opportunity of first team football and made a bold £2.9million bid to sign the Belgian Under-19 star. Since his move Loic has started 2 games, scoring twice with an average rating of 7.50 and looks set to start the season on the fringe of the first team, possibly partnering Jermaine Defoe up front.

Tom van der Fish- With West Ham narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Tom's hopes of making a Premier league appearance were kept alive. And his chances of a first team role look promising, with only Dean Ashton impressing last season, Tom could be the man to bolster the Hammers' ailing strikeforce. The Northern Ireland U-19 international has done well when called upon pre-season, scoring 1 in 3 appearances with a rating of 7.33. With a UEFA Cup spot this season, West Ham could look to the 17 year-old as a surprise package for Europe.

Arthur White- Arthur has picked up where he left off with last season's excellent form, scoring 3 and creating 2 in 5 pre-season games, with a rating of 7.60. White has the opportunity to perform on the big stage and looks to be relishing the prospect of showing his talent. White was also named in England's squad for the Euro Under-19 championship and was in good form, scoring once in his three games and getting a MoM award. Arthur was the top provider of the tournament, setting up 2 goals and was one of the best passers with 73% completion. It looks like this season could be even more impressive than the last for the man dubbed the new Michael Owen. And Premiership defenders will have their hands full whenever they face him.

Ben Whitehead- After last season's injury problems, and his side's relegation to the Blue Square south, Ben will be looking for better news this season. Having signed a professional contract the 17 year-old winger will obviously be integral to Salisbury's promotion campaign. However, it is hard to imagine Whitehead staying at the club for too long. If he performs to his ability, it won't be too long until bigger clubs take an interest.

Transfer window update - 1/02/09

Adaminho- Attracting interest from Charlton, it was in Rangers' best interest to give Adaminho a reason to stay in Glasgow. And after his reserve team and pre-season form got 4 goals and 3 assists in 9 games with a 7.44 rating, Walter Smith didn't take much persuading to give the England Under-19 star a first team break. After a series of solid league performances without a goal, Adaminho was chosen to start in the home Champions league group tie against Besiktas. And he soon repayed his managers faith by scoring in the fourth minute in front of just under 50,000 fans at Ibrox. All in all Adaminho has 5 starts with 2 sub appearances, 1 goal and a rating of 6.86 for table topping Rangers.

Jose Manuel Arevalo- Jose has picked up with Sheffield Utd where he left off with Millwall. Fast becoming a mainstay in Simon Grayson's relegation threatened side. Excluding the strikers, Arevalo has been United's best player so far this season. Starting 29 times with an average rating of 6.83. Jose has showed what a capable footballer he is with a pass completion of 83% and 5.45 tackles per game. Jose has also recently earned his 11th international cap for Andorra.

Mike Bird- Despite Mike becoming unsettled after his loan move from Man City to Australian side Perth Glory, it hasn't effected his performances on the pitch. In the A-league he has played 16, bagging 10 goals and a rating of 7.35. Fortunately, the move half way around the world hasn't been to the detriment of his international career as he has won his fourth cap and scored his first international goal. While the move has been good for his football, it may not be long before Mike will want to play in a stronger league.

Bobinho- The Welsh Under-21 striker started the year with a loan move to League 1 strugglers Bristol Rovers and made an instant impression. After 13 games he had netted 8 times and won 2 MoM awards. Unfortunately, a sprained ankle ended the loan move and sees him back at Boro with about a month until he can play again. But the loan move helped his Under-21 career as he scored his fourth goal in 5 caps.

Peter Brown- The 17 year-old's short career has been ravaged by injury so far. After facing 8 months out with damaged cruciate ligaments Brown returned to a Stafford side relegated to the Blue square North. But after just 8 appearances with 2 goals, West Ham saw his potential and took a gamble with a £130k bid. Since his move, Brown has impressed in West Ham's famed youth setup scoring 4 in 3 starts with a 7.25 rating. This looks like it could be Brown's first stroke of luck in his career, and he will hope that there is no hangover from his career threatening injury.

Adam Clatworthy- Since his big move to Sunderland, Adam has done well in the reserve team scoring 4 in 9 starts with a rating of 7.00. In order to get some first team experience Adam has been made available for loan, but has yet to secure a move. The striker has impressed in performances for Northern Ireland's Under-21 side witha three goal return from 5 caps.

Alfonso de silva Santos- With 26 starts for Stevenage this season and 13 goals, Alfonso recieved some long overdue transfer interest. This culminated in a £210k transfer window move to Spanish side Villareal. Although he has yet to start, Santos is keen to impress his new manager and being included in the first team squad could lead to an opportunity soon. The Andorran international has also just gained his 10th cap, but he has yet to score for his country.

Robert Dillon- After a £220k move to Ipswich, Dillon would have expectd to be little more than a fringe player for the Championship strugglers. However, Bob has had little time to spend on the guitar as he has been started 22 times so far, scoring 6 with an average rating of 7.00. With this form Dillon has become a star performer in a disappointing Ipswich side. Despite playing last season on the left wing, Dillon has been favoured up front by his manager Jim Magilton. Robert has yet to start his international career, but he says he is looking to get a chance in the England setup before tying himself to Montenegro.

Fredino- Following Scunthorpe's promotion chase last season, fans would have hoped for more of the same this year. But Fredino's side have struggled to make an impression on the playoff places. The Welshman's form has reflected this, although he has scored 11 in 31 games, his average rating is reduced to 6.74 due to poor team performances. Fredino won his first Under-21 cap for Wales, but still being named in the full international side, he waits for his chance for a full cap.

Frketson- The 18 year-old Croatian has experienced a change of fortunes this season. Spending most of last year in the reserves he has found himself become a main feature of Wigan's Premiership campaign. So far he has made 17 starts with an average rating of 6.82. Following his Premiership performances, Frketson earned a call up to the Croatian national side and made an impressive debut against Lithuania. He was then recalled for the next two matches, earning his third cap in a 3-0 away defeat to Brazil. Frketson is quickly making a name for himself as a top level footballer.

Pablo Gonzalez- Gonzalez took a gamble when he left England to join Spanish second tier side Elche. And although his side sits 3 places from the foot of the table, Pablo's form has been good. He's played 23 games and scored 8 goals with a rating of 7.04. But although he is determined to help his side improve, it is most likely that he will get snapped up for the £300k minimum release fee by the end of the season.

Haowan- Finding himself pushed down the pecking order for strikers at Championship Portsmouth, Haowan has done all he can to put himself in the forefront of manager Aidy Boothroyd's plans. For the reserves Haowan has been on fire, netting 12 in 17 starts with 4 assists, 4 MoM awards and a 7.59 rating. While he has yet to make a league start for Pompey, his form has been noticed by the Spanish Under-19 setup who have called him up, though he has yet to earn a cap. Despite not being given a first team opportunity, the 18 year-old is enthusiastic about his future at the club.

Juan King- Included in new manager Redknapp's first team plans after bagging 6 goals in 6 reserve games with a 7.50 rating. Juan has yet to make a Premiership appearance, despite a consistent place on the bench. He just can't break the partnership of Kenwyne Jones and Asamoah Gyan. The best news for Juan has been winning 3 caps for Northern Ireland, starting with a debut sub appearance against Luxembourg.

Quincy Klapatross- After his big money move to French side Valenciennes FC, it looks like the gamble with his career has paid off. The side tipped to finish 15th find themselves sitting in third place with possible Champions league qualification, and Quincy's form has helped. The Dutch Under-21 has scored 6 in his 15 starts with an average rating of 7.00 in a rotation system. The good news in the league was preceded by a silver medal in the Olympics where Quincy performed well, scoring against South Korea in the group stage and starting in the final for a 2-1 loss to Spain.

Callum McCarthy- Despite high hopes pre-season, Callum has struggled to establish himself for 2nd place Derby. Starting just 7 of his 16 appearances (mostly at left back) hasn't helped. And the lack of a permanent place is reflected in his rating of 6.38. While his personal club form has been disappointing, Callum has gone on to earn 8 Under-21 caps for England and is still a highly rated prospect.

Brendan Petersen- When Kiraly was handed the number 1 shirt at Burnley, Brendan must have been expecting a season on the bench. However, following last season's heroics between the posts to save his side from relegation, the Aussie Under-21 keeper has picked up where he left off. So far he has started 27 games for the relegation battlers, conceding 47 with a rating of 6.48. Although, this can mostly be attributed to a weak defence in front of him.

Loic Philippens- Loic has exceeded many expectations since joining Portsmouth for £2.9million. Coming straight in to a first team which featured, until recently, strikers such as Jermaine Defoe, Loic slotted straight in. To date he has started 18 games and scored 10 to help Portsmouth's push for the playoffs. This form has brought interest from first placed Championship side Birmingham, although Loic has announced his intention to help Pompey improve their league position. Philippen's form has been rewarded with three Belgian Under-21 caps where Loic is favoured in central midfield.

Tom van der Fish- This season has been mostly spent waiting on the fringe of mid-table premiership West Ham. Desperate to impress, Tom has scored 8 in his 12 reserve team starts with a rating of 7.15. Form which earned him his first Northern Irish cap. But hope is on the horizon as West Ham's star player Dean Ashton has picked up an injury wich will rule him out for a month, and with a European cup tie against Juventus coming soon, this could be Fish's chance to break through to the first team.

Arthur White- White's start to newly promoted West Brom's season was hoped to be impressive. But the striker's form exceeded even the most optimistic expectations. In just 18 games White had notched up 11 goals and a rating of 7.28, helping West Brom to a secure mid-table place. His form also earned an England Under-21 call up, which he repayed with 3 goals in just 2 games. He also appeared in England's ill-fated Under-19 European championship, scoring one in three games. White went on to be included in the qualification for the 2009 tournament where he scored 4 in 3 games with a rating of 8.33. Arthur's potential was plain to see, and soon tempted interest from a number of clubs. But Newcastle put their money up, and signed the 19 year-old Wonderkid for a massive £15.5 million fee and a contract of £27,500 per week. Arthur has yet to make his debut for 6th placed Newcastle, but Geordie fans are buzzing with anticipation in seeing the young starlet in action.

Ben Whitehead- Following last season's disappointment, it was important for Whitehead to start Salisbury's Blue square South campaign on a high. And the 17 year old winger did just that, bagging two goals in the opening three games. Continuing Sunderland's policy of signing young talent, Harry Redknapp offered £130k for Whitehead which was readily accepted. Stepping in to the Sunderland Under-18 squad, Ben formed an instant reputation as a goal-getting wide man, scoring 12 in 22, with 4 assists and a rating of 7.04. This form earned him a place in the England Under-19 side, where he scored on his debut against Tunisia. Despite early setbacks in his career, it looks like Whitehead could be set to explode.

Nice to see Loic getting some 1st team action, looks like the step down to Championship level was a good decision. Interesting to see him playing in central midfield for Belgium, maybe Pompey should look into retraining him although with 10 goals in 18 games I'm not sure it would be advised.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Cool icon_biggrin.gificon14.gif why doesn't he go to Spain? I mean, that would be obvious now that he's Andorran...
