Benjamin G. Dela Cruz
What happens to ones transfer budgets when payments are spread out over 48 months or so? With me, it seems like I can make a 40 million Euro purchase this way, but only have a few million deducted from my transfer budget. Does the club only take off (from your transfer budget) the amount that would be payed in that year? Or...what?
scribs
yea thats exactly it so if you pay 40, only 10 comes out your budget (1/4)
stavro
transfers spread over a certain period effect your finances more so then your overall transfer budget. if you have a 5 mill transfer budget and you make a 40 mill deal that involves 3 mill up front and 37 mill say spread over 4 years. then you lose the 3 mill from your original transfer budget and the rest of the cash is spread out equally every month over 4 years that has a direct connection to expenditure and income. essentially therefore to make the deal affordable your income has to be greater then your expenditure or you could plunge your club in a whole heap of trouble. was that easy enough to understand
