nickisok
i've got a striker that could be a decent winger. for my tactics i had to place him at this position, and the little circle went from yellow to dark green. this means he could play better at this position. in the seasons following i never used him as a winger, but his dot was still dark green. that means that in 6 years time his ability to play on a position he hasnt touched in all the time hasnt decreased. i think the ability to play on a position should decrease if a player does not play on the position frequently. p.s. sorry for my english, its not my native language. x42bn6
Are you training him in that position?
nickisok
i did, 6 years ago. in about 2 weeks he was better in that position. but if i did not use him on that position for the next 6 years, how could he still play just as well on the position (as shown on the positions tab)
michaeltmurrayuk
As long as a players position isn't Natural it can and normally does decrease over time if they don't play in that position - several players I've signed have gone on to lose their extra positions. Though I think this might only apply to positions players have been trained to play in, I haven't seen a player lose a position they were generated into the game with.
