I want to change the FA Cup so that all teams start at round 1; is this possible

I don't think it's possible. There are too many games to play for round one. I think you cannot go over 256 matches for a cup at one time. I don't know that you even want to go over 128 matches.

Yes you can. You can add more rounds. You just need to make sure you do the maths and have enough teams eligible to start - that means leaving enough teams in non-playable leagues in your database.

You can have up to 1000 teams in one round altogether.

My system works like this:

BRITISH FA CUP

final 2

semi 4

round 9 8

round 8 16

round 7 32

round 6 64

round 5 128

round 4 256

round 3 all 512 teams

round 2 976 teams (-24 byes)

round 1 176 teams = 88 winners (thus, 1000 left from my structure of 1088 teams)

Pretty sure if you look around at some of the basic limitations (look at the files in the "rule group" folder in editor\data\format) you're able to change how many teams can take part in rounds, etc. (By that same token, you can make a league system play its fixtures more than the current default maximum of 8.)

I'm abit confused - so how do i do it?

do i edit the FA cup or do I delete it and create a new cup - called the FA Cup with my rules :s

I did the latter - new league and cup with new rules.
