Chongtom
I ahve 2 good young players, Martin Galvan and Luis Guilherme. I want them to be tutored by B Ferguson and G Kiraly who are better than them. Unfortunately, the option hasn't come up for it in player interaction. Just wondering if this has happened to any one else and whether i will get this option in the future which is what i hope. Cheers, Tom Ps: Galvan speaks full english, guilherme does not if that helps.
Bongo-Bongo
It could be a couple of things. What age are Galvan and Guilherme? Have they just finished being tutored? Are Ferguson and Kiraly currently tutoring someone else?
Chongtom
No neither players are being tutored nor are the the tutors tutoring anyone. Galvan is 18, shortly 19, Guilherme is 19. I'm on season 3 with Norwich in Coca Cola Champ.
InterWolf
The tutoring players have to be significantly better. Is this so?
Chongtom
About 1 star better. is that good enough?
Montanaro
I have a 16 year old starting goalie who I can't get to learn from any player. I assume it's because there is nobody better than him on my team!
Edle
a 16 year old starting gk? really? do you have a screenshot?
Montanaro
I'm in a lower league in Italy, Serie C1 to be precise. I'm in contention to get to Serie B. The GK potential is reportedly serie A. He leaks goals occasionally due to his inexperience. Was hoping to find a tutor who could mold his personality. But GK tutors arn't that important because there are not many moves to learn for the position.
Leto2626
If players are touted as wonderkids there isn't a big chance they can be tutored In FM09 I had a 16 year Uruguayan DR with some temperament, but also labeled as wonderkid. Before he was 21 he had half the team against him, and there was no way his personality could be changed.

Does it not have something to do with position? Are Galvan and Guilherme not forwards, so the option wouldn't come up to have them tutored in the ways of goalscoring, etc by a keeper and a defensive midfielder (assuming thats Barry Ferguson you're talking about). Chongtom
Guilherme is in goal. Ferguson is natural for AM as is Galvan.
brod_104
Guilherme is in goal. Ferguson is natural for AM as is Galvan. Ah OK, there's my theory out the window!
Brian Shanahan
Are they playing a significant amount of games in the first team. I know in FM 09 young players who were regularly getting compeditive games (including off the bench) would no longer be eligible for tutoring, and I imagine that would hold for this year. Chongtom
Yeah they're first team. I think it may be that they are almost as good as their tutors. I'm hoping that when i get Jarosik in January he can tutor Galvan.
Neji
If they're in your first team, you've probably missed the chance. As above, I think if they are regulars the opportunity to tutor goes away.
