scotty1974
Yes just make your catalonia flag have the same id as the malta flag and remember and remove the malta flag or youll have 2 flags with the same id
TheoWalcott89
how/where do you make it? sorry im new to all this editor stuff...
scotty1974
Well youll have to find the catalonia badge thats if you dont have it already the just change its id to same number as malta flag id then drop it in same folder where your malta flag is, that should replace the Malta flag with the Catalonia flag

TheoWalcott89
i have now searched my entire computer and i cannot find the root folder or a graphics folder that has any flags in it...
michaeltmurrayuk
Have a read of this thread: [Guide] How to Create Football Manager Graphics + Config Files
TheoWalcott89
but where do i see the id for the maltese flag? i cant find the folder that its in, its not in any of the graphics folders.
michaeltmurrayuk
You can get the ID by checking the editor or loading the game and turning on show unique ids.
TheoWalcott89
I did that, found that the maltese id is 782 so i made the config file like this: <record> <!-- resource manager options --> <!-- dont preload anything in this folder --> <boolean id="preload" value="false"/> <!-- turn off auto mapping --> <boolean id="amap" value="false"/> <!-- logo mappings --> <!-- the following XML maps pictures inside this folder into other positions in the resource system, which allows this folder to be dropped into any place in the graphics folder and still have the game pick up the graphics files from the correct places --> <list id="maps"> <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/club/782/icon"/> </list> </record> then i made the catalan logo in the size 24x18 pixels and named it 782 and put it into the same folder and then placed those files in my graphics folder but nothing changes
michaeltmurrayuk
In the Preferences -> Display & Sound Menu you need to untick 'Use Skin Cache' and tick 'Always reload skin on confirm' the game should then reload your graphics and your new flag should now display. TheoWalcott89
i have already done that as a normal procedure for when im loading in new kits and logos, could it be that the maltese logo is clashing with the catalan logo?
michaeltmurrayuk
No it should overwrite it unless you have installed other custom flags, does it display if you switch to a different skin?
TheoWalcott89
no it doesnt change. but it could be that i didnt create the file correctly. i didnt get that about the transparency enabled. im using paint.net, so how would i do that? TheoWalcott89
is there anyone that is familiar with the paint.net program and can tell me how to create a right file?
kremmen
I made the Catalan flag and logo for someone else, but you can have the tranparent PNG's iyl Also your config should read Nation instead of club <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/nation/782/logo"/> <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/nation/782/logo/huge"/> <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/nation/782/icon"/> and for the Flag <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/nation/782/flag"/> <record from="782" to="graphics/pictures/nation/782/icon"/> The Icon can be the Flag or Logo as you prefer. TheoWalcott89
just the very last thing and i'll stop. if were to create a logo for a competition, i would have thought that the config file should read <record from="2300050" to="graphics/pictures/competition/2300050/logo"/> but having tried that i'd like to ask what it should actually read thanks
kremmen
You might think so, but it's just comp instead of competition actually. <record from="100100" to="graphics/pictures/comp/100100/logo"/> for example.
