just finished the first season and got promoted!

lost just one game all season, but drew a lot against teams where it should have been a win. Won the Johnstone Paint Trophy, but went out the FA cup early to a 11-0 beating from Newcastle

Did you loan Hobbs? If you signed, then it's a very nice signing. Play him in your first team lineup and his value will rocket up.

You'll probably be able to get 5 mio for him in 2 seasons (and that's only because the board will accept the offerr).

Just recently bought Fm08 and decided to play as my favourite team Leeds. I boldly selected pushing for title contenders and i didn't want to curse myself by saying i could win the league.

Players bought in:

Pablo Piatti 300k

Ronnie wallwork 350k haven't yet played him as he's injured

Pedro 90k

Team line up

Gk: Ankergren

Dr: Richardson

Dc: Huntington

Dc: Heath

Dl: Parker

Ml: Costa

Mc: Thompson

Mc: Piatti

Mr: Pedro

St: Constantine

St: Flo

S1: Lund

S2: Prutton

S3: Kandol

S4: Wallwork

S5: Carole

Kandol and Beckford injured however Flo and Constantine are bagging the goals alongside Piatti and the occasional Prutton when brought on.

Ankergren doing ok concedes a goal every match but he usually makes some fantastic saves and its only time before his first clean sheet

I had four pre season friendlies before the match campaign:

Fr: Broro Ranger 1 v 4 Leeds united.

Fr: Can't remember team 1 v 2 Leeds united

Fr: Mansfield 0 v 1 Leeds united

Fr: Arsenal res 0 v 2 Leeds united (was one hell of a match)

Winning all 4 pre season friendlies we went into the league challenge full of confidence.

L1: Oldham 1 v 4 Leeds

LC: Maccelsfield 1 v 3 Leeds

L1: HartlePool 1 v 2 Leeds

L1: Gillingham 1 v 2 Leeds

Not a bad start to the season i think and my next match is against Plymouth. Im looking to add a new striker and i have 875k to spend, any suggestions? Thanks

Try looking for Alex Pearce i got him for 50k at the end of my first season, everyone is trying to buy him from me, him and Huntingdon are a quality partnership.

Steven Hammell a LB i got on a free at end of my second season.

Michal Janota also i got on a free i have sent him out on loan at the min dont know how great he turns out i just got him.

Nicola Legrottaglie CD can be got quite cheap a good player also.

Premiership 2013/2014

Great season domestic wise.

5th place and close to the Champions League spots, but the team might not be ready for both CHL and Premiership just yet, so no real loss there.

Best move I made was picking up Tom Heaton on the cheap from Man United. He's been MOM several times already in his first year and is a great one for the future too. Only problem was that I had to offer very high wages to convince him to come.

Quick request for recommendations:

Finished 3rd in first season (missed automatic promotion by a single point) then lost in playoff semifinals, so League One football again for me. Looking for additions to this team:

Defence was the division's best last season, and midfield I have no complaints about. Priorities are a quality, dependable goalkeeper and a really top-class striker (I shuffled a bunch of players around in the forward positions last season and none of them really shone). Suggestions for other positions are welcomed if you think they'd be significant improvements.

I have around £2.5M to spend.

It's hard to say as I don't know who has moved where.

I signed the following (includes their transfer history)

Marek Hamsik, DM, 7.5m, Fiorentina/Napoli. You have to negotiate with both teams.

Billy Sharp, S, Sheff Utd->West Brom (3.5m)->Leeds (5.75m).

Celsinho, AM/F, Lokomotiv Moskow->Sao Paulo (3.5m)-> Leeds (6m)

Gustavo Cabral, CB, Racing Club->Toluca (1.5m)->Boca (3.5m)->Leeds (6m)

Michele Rigione, CB, Chievo->Marseille (950K)->Leeds (3.2m)

I think all of these have variable PA so they could be good or great depending on how lucky you get.

I'm in my 4th season with Leeds, currently 13th in the Premiership with 8 games played (3wins 5 loss) I started the season really well and beat Portsmouth at home 2-1 after going 0-1 down and beat Reading away from home 3-2 after going 0-2 down. During the summer I had to sell my star player who is a regen wonderkid for 13.8m because the board wouldnt hold firm. Oh well I only got him for 275k so I made quite a big profit there.

Hi lads,,,in 3rd season as Leeds,got promoted 1st season but struggling in champoinship.Alex was my star player but Fulham,,yes Fulham bid 5 millon for him and the bloody board overruled me and accepted it.At the moment I'm 17th,nothing I do seems to help matters,,I switched formation to 3-4-3,won 2 games in a row but just lost to Norwich who was below me in the league and had not won for 8 games.Any suggestions for a tatic than can help???? please

I got Alex at my 4th attempet.Everytime his wp was rejected I appealed,when that was rejected I put another offer in for him ( 50k I got him for ) offered a contract and just waited for the wp application,on my 4th try I got him.Just keep on trying mate,,he is well worth it.

in league one i just used 4-4-2 with the 2 wide players having arrows pointing as far forward as possible i always found the defence as a big problem but the way i solved it was having
