Blade25
If there is already a thread about this I apologise I couldn't find it. When it comes to team gelling and trying not to upset the apple cart a new signing can be a minefield. I usually attend a press conference for a new signing rather than decline and 9 times out of 10 the player in question does not react well to my statements and sometimes the existing squad can have an adverse reaction as well. Can anyone suggest the best approach for dealing with these or does everyone choose to simply 'decline'? Thanks
heathxxx
Declining a press conference regarding new signings is often seen as the "neutral" option, therefore probably the safest bet. Otherwise, the positive and negative outcomes are likely to be similar to those of team-talks and based mostly on the character of the players concerned. shocking
It's a minefield in my experience, and usually ends up with someone p###ed off. I always decline!
Magnakai Haaskivi
If you don't tick off the new signing, then you tick off some fringe player who thinks the new guy's being promised playing team unfairly; I always decline now. It's a cool feature, but (like press conferences about injured players) every answer seems to end up with a negative reaction.
qqq
There is one here... http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=185802 But like the other posters have said, decline.
phnompenhandy
I try to play it realistically. If I'm signing a youth or backup player, I won't call a press conference; but if he's a key player I feel I should, despite it's attendant risks. I usually go for a bland 'he'll make a difference, don't expect too much from the off' type of response.
