Well well well. Luca Cammilluzzi.

Had him in my first season and I think it was Des who gave glowing reports on his time with him at Domegliera. However he failed to shine in that 1st season with me. Then in the 2nd season Lazio loaned him to Mattersburg in Germany so I missed out.

This year was different - he was sent to us and my word how he's played! As I speak he's just scored a brace against Teramo to take it to 8 goals in his last 3 games icon_eek.gif

He's gonna fire us to Serie C1 at this rate icon_biggrin.gif

Out of the Serie C Cup in the first knockout round. Lost 5-3 on aggregate to Ancona icon_frown.gif

Coupled with this has been a recent horrendous run of form. We lost 2-0 away to Foggia despite a ridiculous number of shots on target (their keeper is Serie B standard at least!) and a 7-2 icon_eek.gif defeat away to top of the league Giulianova. We were down to ten men. My keeper decided not to move all game! I think we conceded 3 free kicks icon_mad.gif

Anyway we're back on track now though icon14.gif

Albalonga Mid-Season Update - 10/11

My pre season optimism has been proved justified thankfully! We're sitting 4th at the mid-point of the season and looking good for at least a playoff place. We're only a point off 2nd but 8 off top placed Giulianova! However I still think we have a chance of catching them.

Although my rather flamboyant tactic began well, we were quickly found out, largely due to the absence of my 2nd AM not doing enough. So I moved him back to another MC and this appears to have shored up the midfield and made us a lot harder to beat. If this form continues into the 2nd half of the season and I can bring in a couple of new faces to freshen the squad I think promotion is a real possibility icon_smile.gif

Media Prediction - 6th

Final Position - 1st (Champions!)

Final Table - Table

Serie C Cup - Semi Final

icon_biggrin.gif

What a fantastic season for us, we actually went 30 games unbeaten in the league (37 games unbeaten overall) before capitulating in the final games, but held onto our first place finish courtesy of a 2-2 draw away to 2nd place Gallipoli to confirm our promotion on the turf of our nearest rivals.

I did my best to get us eliminated from the Serie C cup, fielding our second string side the whole tournament, only for them to destroy every team in sight until meeting their end in the semi-final.

I had to sell Amraei as his contract was running out and he wouldn't sign. Fabio Faria was sold above my head icon_mad.gif

I'm now preping my first assault on Serie B, armed with 15m in the bank and a stadium expanison planned, to bring us up to 15,000 seats.

Any screenies you might wanna see, give me a shout icon_wink.gif

Yeah, i'm noticing that it's a big step up, I'm getting outplayed quite a bit. Although, I've beat Livorno of Serie A 4-0 in the cup icon_cool.gif

I've got so much money because I've (well, the chairman icon_mad.gif ) sold £10.5m worth of players. Plus I was making well over a £1m a year through high attendances and low wages icon14.gif

i see. i wish i could make that sort of money to be honest. i'm losing money this season for first time, mainly due to high transfer expenditure, high wages, and reduced crowds.... took a gamble to get back up, but not looking too good at the moment... gonna have to settle for play-offs i think.....

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen this is Des Tiny...I had no internet to top it off but i found this site...name change, but hoping to fix that haha and I also am back where I started after some poor portugese football, I hated it, they all play shut up shop, I dominated possesion 70%+ and got no goals they scored 2-4 on the break haha...

So Welcome back to Domegliara...and Diagne and Cammilluzzi I think everyone else is new to me

Como - Serie C1/A - Season 2011/12

so then, time a very brief review about what happened while we were all away. As we all know, i was targeting promotion back to Serie B thi season, and as a result, gambled a bit on the finances, spending over £1 million, and stretching the wage budget to £48k per week.

Ultimately, the season was a bit disappointing. We finished distant of the top 4 in 5th, which did mean the play-offs. A 2-1 defeat at home to Ternana wasn' the best start, and being reduced to 9 men in the 2nd leg didn't help. We managed to win 1-0, but missed out due to the fact Ternana finished higher in the league :(

As for the Serie C Cup....... We only went and bloomin' won it!! :D Despite not being initially interested in it, i had to take it more seriously as the league faltered, and we won the final 3-0 on aggregate.

As mentioned earlier, i took a big gamble on the fiances, and ultimatelt it backfired somewhat. We made a loss on the season of £2 million, seriously hampering our balance as it dropped to £1.3 million. i will be looking to rectify this somewhat this season.

As for the squad, star players were Kropfl, De Lucia (strikers), Antheunis (AMC), Kyteramateng (AML) and De Roo (CB). Corradini was also easily the best GK i've had.

i'd love to be able to post screenshots, but i don't seem to be able to at the moment. hopefully i can add them later.....

Hey Just because I after ****ing up in Domegliara the first time I couldn't decide on a team so I went back to them in the end does not mean I am not the TRUE rival everyone is looking for. going to full on attack now with Cammiluzzi, Sanci, Papa and Gaeta upfront, Vitale and Staiti running the wings and Guianno in goal.Diagne providing support and scoring amazing goals from corners. My team is going for two straight promotions to catch up.

On a side note, I've finally sorted my proper username out. Had a problem with getting into my uni email but sorted now.

I wont be updating for a while because I'm off on holiday. Not to Nocera Inferiore by the way ;)

But I'll be right back into it when I return!

  • Promotion. it has to be really. Media tip us for 4th but i feel that with my expenditure and squad, i need to be at a higher level.
  • Cut the financial losses. I expect to make losses, but not £2 million. Have already raised nearly £2 million through player sales, but have admittedly spent almost £1 million...
  • Uphold pride in the Serie C Cup. I'm not fussed about winning, but don't want to look like fools.....

(i just wanted to do my end of season review properly.... Apologies for it being there twice....) :)

Des Tiny's Domegliara Version II

"Its a new beginning at a very familiar ground"

Des Tiny has travelled back in time to July 2008 and signed once more to be the manager of Domgliara in the Serie C2/C. Finances are looking good, and again there is only a very small stadium with seats for less than 1000, a renovation is in progress, but Des knows it will be a few years before he will be able to have more than a few close friends at a game. Being given a reasonable sized Transfer Budget (£90k) and a Wage budget of £7.75k has meant that he will be able to bring in a reasonable sized squad. Des went a bit mad at the beginning and brought in nearly 80 players before slowly removing some deadwood to be still left with 65. These numbers are hoping to be further reduced in January. The July and August friendlies was an opportunity for many players to get a run and they did just that.

11/07 FRN	vs Reggina Res	2-6	HT: 1-4	Att: 85
   Cammilluzzi (6,53)

16/07	FRN	at Portosummaga	3-5	HT: 2-2
Cammilluzzi (15), Staiti (23), Vitale (49*)

20/07	FRN	vs Napoli Res.	1-5	HT: 0-4	Att: 75
Esposito (87)

23/07	FRN	at Cuneo	2-2	HT: 1-2
Sanci (30), Esposito (90)

26/07	FRN	at Pergocrema	2-3	HT: 1-2
Sanci (25), Staiti (85)

03/08	FRN	vs Martina	2-0	HT: 0-0	Att: 490	MoM: Papa
Papa (74), Pacciardi (78)

06/08	FRN	at Noicattaro	4-1	HT: 2-1 MoM: Diagne
Staiti (10), Diagne (37*,78*), Cammilluzzi (66)

10/08	FRN	vs Austria Karnten	2-2	HT: 2-1	Att: 460	MoM: Papa
Cammilluzzi (13), Papa (29)

Papa, Diagne and Cammilluzzi were memories of Des’ last period at Montindin and they came back with very happy times ahead. Staiti will be keeping the right flank under control with Vitale on the left. This has given Des a very experienced midfield, the addition of Gaeta as the second striker and Sanci as back-up has resulted in a great attacking line up though some clear weaknesses in defense that need to be closed down, though the second half of the friendlies was a lot better than the beginning. Then it was on and into the Regular season where the odds stated a shot at relegation and the board would be happy just to finish mid table.

Regular Season

17/08	SCC	vs Siracusa	2-2	HT: 1-1	Att: 508	MoM: Papa
Sanci (36), Lombardi (83)

20/08	SCC	at Vibonese	4-4	HT: 1-3
Cammilluzzi (2), Vitale (52), Sanci (73,90)

24/08	C2C	at Olympia Agnonese	4-0	HT: 3-0 MoM: Gaeta
Gaeta (3,59), Cammilluzzi (27,40)

31/08	C2C	vs Vigor Lamezia 3-1	HT: 2-0	Att: 852
Cammilluzzi (29), Diagne (39), Sanci (90)

03/09	SCC	vs Gela	1-2	HT: 0-0	Att: 847	MoM: Gianello
Cammilluzzi (90)

07/09	C2C	at Val di Sangro	2-2	HT: 0-1
Staiti (55), Cammilluzzi (66)

10/09	SCC	at Igea Virtus 3-4	HT: 1-2
Gaeta (18), Pacciardi (55), Vitale (58)

14/09	C2C	vs Crotone	5-3	HT: 3-2	Att: 846	MoM: Diagne
Diagne (11*,71*,90), Gaita (pen19,36)****

21/09	C2C	at Real Marcianise	0-3	HT: 0-3

28/09	C2C	vs Paganese 3-2	HT: 0-1	Att: 862	MoM: Cammilluzzi
Cammilluzzi (51,88), Diagne (66*)

These games knocked Domegliara out of the Serie C Cup, but left them in Playoff contention in the Serie C2/C. The difference between the cup and the league obivous.

Four Games in Cup: Goals For – 10, Against - 12, WDL record – 0-2-2

Four Games in League: Goals For – 14, Against – 6, WDL record 3-1-0

Des had chosen to use the Cup as more friendlies this year, but was still disappointed by the effort. Domegliara is hoping for promotion in its first year in the Serie C2.

I'm having one of the most frustrating seasons in Football Manager to date. Nothing seems to work at the moment. At the moment I'm torn between sticking with Münster 'till the end (Or get fired, which is probably going to be next season. I can't imagine getting promoted next season as my board expect. (That would be the second time I miss the long term goals, I don't think I'll get away with that), or start a new game with a smaller German team, where the pressure isn't so big.

i think I might try this game but I am never good at these sorts of challenges :( any tips would help:D

what league do you fancy playing?? Germany is quite tough, Spain is alright but not not many players, Portugal is tough too i think, France you inherit a squad with players already as you can't play the bottom league, and Italy is quite popular.

once you know which league you want to run we can give you more specific advice....

that's a tough question. i'd say that if you really don't believe you'll make it with Munster, then change. save you time in the long run should the inevitable happen. but, at the same time, maybe you can just prove the board wrong and achieve what you deem to be the 'impossible' and get promotion.

how far away do you feel you are from achieving it?

If I stay within the Regionalliga Nord next season, there are probably 2 teams that should be better than me (bigger teams, more budget), another two are about the same level than me. Since there is only one promotion spot I rate my chances at about 10% next season. The problem is that at the moment the 3 teams that are on course to relegation from the 3e Bundesliga are teams that are from North- or West- Germany. If geography is respected Kickers Emden at least should get a place in the North.

If on the other hand I get transfered back to the Regionalliga West, my chances of promotion rise considerably. The team that at the moment is winning that division would fail to get in the top 5 in the North, which makes it extra frustrating.

I think I'm going to play out this season (as I'm already in may), and see if I get transfered back to the West, if not I'll start again with a smaller team, probably in the Regionalliga South (by far the easiest division in my game).

In France I wouldn't count to much on players already in the team. You normally get 3-4 players (depends a bit on the teams that get promoted). In my limited experience in France, the teams that come up have players on amateur contract, so there's no problem getting rid of them and start with an empty team if that's more your thing.

Edited to add: Also Germany is quite tough initially (only one promotion slot per division) but after that it gets easier I think. Most of the teams that get promoted stay up (exept the teams from the regional Division South that seems a little easier to get out of) Also there are a lot of decent players in Germany.

i would be quite intrigued personally to see someone play in France, as no one does it currently. if i was to start another game (which may well happen if i continue to stagnate at Como), i'd be off to France i think

Link to post

i think that i am going to try france after I complete the current 20/20 challenge :D

should I bring in staff first before players and also how many scouts will be needed? I usually bring in 6-7

i'd definately make sure you have your ass man in place first so he can comment on signings etc. as for scouts, it'll depend on what the club let you have but i'd say 3 will probably be a decent amount. if you have the ability to scout central europe, i'd say it is a MUST DO - plenty of decent europeans can be found. (half my Como squad practically are non-italian...)

I always make sure I get 2 scouts first, one with high stats in judging ability the other judging ability(because I play according to LLM-guidelines, without them I have no way of finding players). I think 2 should be enough when you start. Than an Assistent Manager and Physio. For scouts and an assistant manager I am willing to pay compensation if no unemployed respond to my adverts. For physio's and coaches I always wait 'till some unemployed apply.

*edit* No idea what that smiley is doing there, it's going to take some time to get used to these boards

time for a very quick update on my Como game (as i'm bored and can't be arsed with work...)

8 games into the league season, and my record is 5-3-0. sitting 2nd in the league. pleased with the start we've had to date. seem tighter at the back now (only conceded 6) and still scoring a few goals. this is due to nothing other than a change in CB, with new signing Pisani partnering De Roo at the back.

As for the Serie C Cup, i'm out of that at the group stage, after using it as an extended pre-season. inconsistency trying different players didn't help, but i'm not really fussed. it's all about the league this season.

As for players, the early stars are Sercan Serarer and Nicolas Millan. After toying with the idea of selling Millan due to his extremely inconsistent form over the previous 2 years, which led to few appearances, he has finally matured into a goalscoring forward. If he can stay injury free, he may play a big part in our season.

fingers crossed for the rest of the season.

Quick update from the US. Obviously Albalonga are on hold until September but we signed off superbly getting promoted in our 4th(?) season. (sorry I can't remember off the top of my head). Anyway we romped to the title and followed up next season impressively, keeping up with the strongest sides and sit currently 5th going into the final 10 games. I can't wait to get back into it! KUTGW everyone
