Dutch Master Bergkamp
Simple question really. How do you view the content of these files? What program do you need to use? Thank you.
Dutch Master Bergkamp
OK! I have actually been able to view the content of these type of files in Visual Studio, but I wouldn't have a clue how to interpret what I see in it. I can't even really describe it and trying to paste a row of the data is not possible.
Super Bladesman
You need to load the editor, load the database, and then load the dbc file. Save in the uncompressed format - this will give you an xml file which can be edited in Notepad.

Thanks Bladesman, but I don't recall an option to save uncompressed when you select the "save as" option. Please clarify. Thank you.
Super Bladesman
It's in the second dropdown menu (Options?). You choose it, and then save.

I'll take a stab at it tonight.
