Harriers turn to International

Ex-Welsh international Lee Allen has quickly been installed at Conference Strugglers Kidderminster Harriers. Harriers currently sitting a lowly 17th were hoping that last years FA Trophy cup run would mean a change in the right direction this term.

Allen 31 joins from AFC Telford with limited managerial experience but with 50 international caps is sure to to be able to improve the teams current misfortunes. Allen has to quickly prepare for Tuesday's home game with fellow strugglers Altrincham. The job is not going to be easy for Allen as the fans want football league football back at Aggborough quickly, and who can blame them.

Kidderminster joined ranks with Premiership side Aston Villa just prior to Mark Yates departure. "Yatesey brought in a couple of decent players but things just didn't go to plan for him, but that the cruel life in football a bad run and you can find yourself out. I'm sure Mark will be back in football quickly he has great talent and is very committed" Allen reports.

The Kiddi board must be aware of the fans discontentment not only with the current lowly league position but also the unhapiness of the appointment of a relatively inexperienced manager. John Hadfield spokesman at Aggborough has heard mixed views "Obviously we are sad that Mark has left the club, however the Board have listened to the fans unhappiness and felt that the time was right for a new manager to be appointed. I hope that the new manager can pick things up quickly and bring league football back to Kidderminster Harriers quickly"

It is still rumoured that the fans were very unhappy with the transfer activity at the start of the season. Johnathon Hogg, Adam McGurk, Zoltan Steiber, Tobias Mikaelsson and Stephen O'Halloran joined on loan all from parent club Aston Villa. Experienced Shaun Lamb arrived from Bristol City on a loan basis with ex-Liverpool youngster Robbie Foy and youngsters Amjad Iqbal and Craig Wedderburn all joining on free transfer. Mark Yates also signed young Polish goalkeeper Kazimierczak for £2,000 from Preimership side Bolton. Whether all of these figure in the new managers plans remains to be seen.

Foy grants winning start for Allen

25th September 2007

Kidderminster 1 Altrincham 0

Kidderminster Harriers sealed a 1-0 home win against lowly opposition Altrincham at Aggborough this afternoon. Harriers with Lee Allen new to the healm made numerous changes in the starting line up. Midfielder Robbie Foy a new signing at the start of the season scoring the solitary goal that gives Allen a winning start and 3 valuable points to the Harriers.

In a revised formation Kiddi were always on top and restricted the away side to only 1 shot on goal compared to their 9.

"Its always nice to win, but winning your first game in charge at a new club is always difficult. I'm still getting to know the players and the players are still getting to know me. We've made some progress in a couple of days but is little progress. I mean to be honest how much can 1 football club make in a couple of days. The lads know that they are top 6 material at least so looking at the table is still not happy reading and we have to build on this result"

Andy Ferrell and Johnathon Hogg both pick up knocks during the victory.

BEVAN WANTS OUT

Experienced Kidderminster Harriers goalkeeper Scott Bevan is frustracted with his lack of first team action and has held emergency talks with newly appointed manager Lee Allen.

Bevan's appearances in between the sticks have been restricted this term following the arrival of Przenyshaw Kazimierczak from Bolton. Bevan has huge league experience and is alarmed that he is not considered regular first teamer.

"To lose your place in the team is obviously frustrating, but Scot needs to pick himself up and prove that he should be first choice. I can understand his frustration but he needs to show his determination."

Bevan has 1 start this season in which he failed to keep a clean sheet and conceeded 3 goals.

Allen is faced with his first selection dilema with leading scorer James Constable suspended for the short trip to Stafford. Rumours around the ground point the finger at Justin Richards to get the nod.

Harriers gift rivals

29th September 2007

Stafford Rangers 1 Kidderminster 1

A late goal from Stafford Rangers cancelled out a superb worked Zoltan Steiber first half lob. Steiber opened the scoring after 20 minutes following nice flowing passing from the Harriers midfielders. However the Harriers were unable to hold on to all 3 points when a poor back pass from stand in striker Justin Richards landed straight into the path of a Stafford forward who easily slotted it under the advancing young Kiddi goalie.

Further misery for Harriers boss Allen is that Steiber was unable to finish the game and was stretchered off in the 2nd half.

"Its disappointing to conceed a goal so late in the game. Just a quick lapse of concentration is all it took. We are moving slowly forward but it's going to take time. Its not a loss but could have easily been a victory" Allen states.

Allen awaits news on Steibers condition.

Steiber suffered a broken left leg in saturday's game with local rivals Stafford Rangers at Marston Road. Steiber who was stretchered off will be out for approximately 6 months will be a big loss to the Kidderminister team.

"This is a big loss for us. Zoltan was gaining experience and we were lucky to have the opportunity of having him for a short time. I hope he recovers quickly and is able to resume the promise he has." Allen quotes

Steiber (18) already has 2 Hungarian U21 caps will retun to Villa Park shortly.

Allen - "Harriers not good enough"

Kidderminster 0 Salisbury 0

Kidderminster Harriers boss Lee Allen was clearly not hapy folowing the boring goaless draw with Salisbury at Aggborough this afternoon. Both teams were able to pass the ball elegantly around the ground but failed to produce any testing efforts for the goalkeepers to deal with.

Allen reports that although its not a loss its another 2 points dropped. Harriers remain unbeaten since Allen's appointment to the hot seat. A rise up the table of 1 position in 3 games is surely not good enough. Supporters are eagerly awaiting the next match Harriers face high flyers Oxford.

Hogg Haults Oxford

Oxford 0 Kidderminster 1 - 9th October 2007

TV cameras live at The Kassam Stadium and still a crowd of over 5,500 people proves how much a strong following Jim Smith's Oxford team have.

Oxford immediately press forward towards the Kiddi goal only for play to be brought to an abrupt stand still when Oxford midfielder Eddie Hucthings falls to the floor. Danny Rose is quickly brought on as early as the 3rd minute.

It was Kidderminster who broke the deadlock. Midfielder Johnathan Hogg scoring his first goal of the season on 62 minutes. Celebrations on the Harriers bench were shortlived when card happy referee Simon Beck showed Russ Penn a straight Red. Beck showed an amazing 6 cards to Oxford in a game which was unable to flow due to the constant stop startings of the ref.

Lee Allen quickly changed formation following the red card swapping forward Thomas Mikaelsson for Gavin Hurren. The away team managed to hold on for all 3 points.

Allen emerged from the away team dressing team with a big smile on his face "Its nice to beat the big boys. We played well, obviously disappointed with the red card but its 3 points in the bag and in front of the cameras. Przemyslaw didn't have to make a save all game which just shows what a good team performance it was"

BEVAN -AWOL

12th October 2007

Scot Bevan reportedly failed to show for training this afternoon. This follows rumours that Leicester City have accepted a bid for reserve Australian keeper Paul Henderson.

Bevan with only 1 start this season is obviously not happy and if Henderson joins the club then Bevan will have no future at Aggborough stadium. A spokeswoman for the club reports that "I can confirm that Scott Bevan was not at the club this afternoon, however the issue has been dealt with internally"

Constable double sinks Histon

Kidderminster 2 Histon 0 - 13th October 2007

High flying 3rd placed Histon have surprised a few people this term so Kidderminster were not expecting an easy ride.

A dire first half saw both sides failing to break the deadlock.

The second half was all Harriers and 2 outstanding goals from James Constable ensured the Kidderminster fans were the happiest fans at Aggborough. "Histon are no pushovers, this was another good performance and another victory. I can't believe how far we have come in such a short period of time. Obviously there is still alot of work to be done, but I'm happy" Kidderminster boss Allen reports.

Allen will unwilling to disclose any information surrounding the goal keeping issues but hoped that the situation had been resolved.

Henderson snubs Harriers

Australian Leicester City goal keeper Paul Henderson has refused the inital contract offer from Kidderminster Harriers. Henderson currently number 3 at Leicester is hoping to join a new club shortly having found himself in the reserves all season.

"Henderson is not joining us, we offered a good contract but hes not budging, the deal is closed. We are not being held to ransom over a player. Money must be spelt wisely at the club and we don't have the luxury of splashing the cash to meet everybody's demands"

The collapse of the transfer means that Scot Bevans future at the club is again uncertain.

Harriers Away in Cup

15th October 2007 - FA Cup draw

Kidderminster Harriers hopes of reaching the FA Cup 1st round increased when they were drawn against lowly Witton Albion. Witton who defeated Willenhall Town in the previous round will be looking to cause a major upset. Witton who have slumped down the league since their top 10 Conference finish in the 1991/1992 season should easily be brushed aside.

There are 3 all Blue Square Premier clashes with Altrinham facing Halifax, Stafford hosting Northwich and the tie of the round Torquay against Exeter.

7 Unbeaten

Farsley 1 Kidderminster 3 - 16th October 2007

Kidderminster Harriers are now 7 games unbeaten following their 3-1 win at Farsley. Farsley as predicted are finding the Blue Square Premier a tough league and are rooted at the foot of the table. They struggled to cope with the confident Kidderminster side.

Brian Smikle and Justin Richards opened their scoring accounts for the season with Andy Ferrel scoring his 5th goal of the campaign.

This victory sees Kidderminster rise up to 9th in the table, which is more realistic than the 17th they were occupying when Lee Allen took over last month.

"Another win, another 3 points, all I can say is that I hope we keep it going. I felt sorry for Mark Creighton who made a critical error that lead to their goal, but other than that it was a good performance. I've got a job to do now with Justin and Brian giving me selection headache. I just thought that Mikaelsson needed a rest hence Justin's start and Brian came in well for the suspended Penn. Its good to have players on the side who could easily step into the team, however it makes the job harder"

Torquay hotshot ends Harriers run

Torquay 3 Kidderminster 1 - 20th October 2007

Plainmoor Hotshot Lee Phillips tops the Blue Square Premier scoring charts with 14 goals in 16 appearances and he was soon on the prowl by the Harriers goal only Kaziemierczak denying him on 18 minutes. Kidderminster observed pressure and nearly sneaked the lead on 29 minutes when Smikle's throughball just missed Constables left foot.

It was 31 minutes when Phillips finally added to his tally slotting home a fumble from Kaziemierczak. Kidderminster nearly drew level just before the half time whistle when Smikle intercepted a back pass only for his shot to fall inches wide.

The second half saw more action when Harriers defender Bignot made a cynical foul which resulted in a dubious red card. Hargreaves took the resulting free kick which stretched Torquay's lead. Further misery for Harriers when O'Halloran who was making a return to the starting line up following international duty brings down Phillips in the box. Nicholson scores from the spot to make it 3-0 and he scores his first goal in a Torquay shirt.

Ferrel earns himself a one match ban following his outburst on the ref, clearly not happy about the sending off.

Smikle dummies a few defenders on 80 minutes with a neat pass to Constable who manages a consolation goal. Final score 3-1

Bignott and Ferrell suspended for 1 match.

Lee Allen had the following words to say after the game. "Clearly disappointed with the result, not the best game I've seen us play but the 3-1 score does flatter them. They are a organised side and with a hot shot like Phillips in the line up there was always going to be a danger. I am angry about the red card and will be making my feelings known about it.

The lads need to pick themselves up quickly ready for the cup game. It is there opportunity to restore themselves. A loss would simply be embarassing"

Harriers board not happy with Allen

The Kidderminster board are apparently not happy with the media handling of Lee Allen following the clubs recent 3-1 loss at Torquay.

Barry Norgrove has instructed Allen to calm down following referees decisions that he might not agree with. Allen was not happy with the straight red card that was shown to defender Bignot last week and made his feelings publicly known following the result.

Norgrove said "The referee is in charge of the game and Lee cannot change any decision that the referee makes during the cause of the game, obviously we all make mistakes but on this occasion it is clear that Paul deserved a card."

The board are not happy that Allen publicly brought attention to the club for the wrong reasons and will be closely monitoring the situation and will deal with further outbursts appropriately.

FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying

Witton Albion 0 Kidderminster 0

A confident Kidderminster team held for Nortwhich to face Witton Albion. Bignot and Ferrell are suspended for the cup tie and Jonathan Hogg is ineligble. Harriers bring in Whitehead, Russell and Penn in as replacements.

In an even match it was unclear as to who the favourites were. Kidderminster rocked by an early injury to Whitehead who is replaced by Munday. Russell for Witton lobs straight over in the only scare for Harriers. Penn is also injured for Harriers at the close of the first half.

Penn is replaced by transfer listed McGrath in the second half. The changes did not spark the Harriers and easily allowed Witton into the game. Both sides finding it increasingly difficult to break down the stubborn defences. At the end of the 90 minutes a bore 0-0 draw was recorded.

Harriers manager Lee Allen comments "It was satisfactory. We did not lose its just another match to play. Ideally I would have wanted to and would have expected us to win here today but credit to Witton they played tightly and did not allow us any room to break through. A replay is scheduled for next week and we will be ready to battle again."

FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying "REPLAY"

Kidderminster 2 Witton Albion 0

Lee Allen is nowhere nearly as confident as the original tie. "Witton will be gunning for us, they know they are in with a chance, they held us before they can hold us again, and who knows they might sneak it, we can not take anything for granted. The FA Cup is special to all clubs and they all want the opportunity of beating somebody. Our aim is to attempt to get into the third round that's pushing ourselves but we need to beat teams like Witton easily"

Whitehead and Penn move out of the starting 11 and make way for Bignot and Ferrell. Allen stresses the importance of finishing the tie off quickly. "We don't want Extra Time!!"

Kidderminster are the quickest out of the starting blocks and a well worked cross from Foy into the box finds Constable 1-0 Kidderminster. Constable seals the victory in the 53rd minutes with his 10th goal of the season following good work from Justin Richards just outside the Witton penalty area.

The win gives Kidderminster an extra £10,000 prize money and progression into the 1st round proper where they face old Conference Rivals Dagenham.

October round up

Most importantly to note is that Brian Smikle seals Runner Up for the Blue Square Premier young player of the month. "I'm pleased for Brian, he wasn't first choice at the start of the season but following Steibers injury he has come in and settled straight into the team. I couldn't ask for anymore from him." Kidderminster Harriers Lee Allen tells the local press.

Manchester United lead the way in the Premiership 1 point clear of Wigan Athletic. Manchester also have a game in hand. Chelsea and Arsenal are in the chasing pack 3rd and 4th respectively. Derby continue to struggle 3 points from safety with Northern clubs Sunderland and Middlesbrough occupying the other relegation positions.

Into the Championship and its Sheffield Wednesday on top by 3 points from Potteries Stoke City. Blackpool at the foot of the table are level on points with surpisingly Wolves and Norwich City.

Hartlepool continue to top League 1 with Oldham lying 2nd. Leeds remain bottom with that -15 point deduction with Millwall and Doncaster struggling to gain points.

There is a change at the top of League 2 with Bradford 3 points clear. Favourites MK Dons slip to 4th. Dagenham and Redbridge occupy the bottom leagues spot with Chester.

Aldershot and Oxford occupy promotion spaces in the Blue Square Premier with Altrincham struggling. Crawley with 6 points deducted at the start of the season have crawled themselves out of trouble.

Rangers extend their lead at the top in Scotland which is now 7 points. Hearts move to mid table following their very poor start and its now Motherwell at the foot of the table.

TNS move top in Wales from Llanelli and Aberystwyth. TNS main rivals Rhyl slump to 5th place.

Harriers unconvincing

Kidderminster 1 Ebbsfleet 2 - 3rd November 2007

Ebbsfleet took control of this game right from the whistle with forward Chukki Eribenne scoring 2 well placed goals. Harriers were always fighting to get back into the game and did pull one back on 54 minutes with James Constable netting.

The result sees Kidderminster in 13th and the last couple of team performances have been far from promising. Lee Allen refusing to commetn after the game, a surpise for the normally outspoken manager.

TRANSFER ACTIVITY

Michael Blackwood hands in transfer request. Blackwood signed from Lincoln on a free in 2005 and made 44 appearances last year is convinced that he does not figure in Lee Allen's future plans. Allen turns down the transfer request

Allen has persuaded young striker Marc McCusker to join the ranks at Kidderminster following a successful 4 week trial. It is rumoured that Allen had 3 trialists at the club over the last 4 weeks and McCusker impressed. This move seems to have added further pressure on Christie and Richards who are trying to establish themselves in the starting 11. McCusker who failed to break into the Hearts first team is ecstactic at the move to Aggborough and will be looking to impress his new manager quickly.

FA CUP 1st Round

Kidderminster 0 Dagenham & Redbridge 2 - 10th November 2007

Kiderminster failed in their attempt to beat higher league opposition with this battling display at Aggborough Stafium. Dagenham relieved to have a break from their dreaded league performances heavily relied on the experience of Ex Welsh International Tony Roberts. Harriers handed a debut to new signing McCuster who was signed earlier this week. However McCuster and Constable were unable to break the well organised Dagenham defence and when they found a way through Roberts was at hand.

Goals from Paul Benson and Chris Moore settled the tie for Dagenham and ensured that there was no upset in Kidderminster.

Lee Allen reports "We were the underdogs from the start, league form counts for nothing in the cup. Obviously its nice to do well in the cups especially the FA Cup, but it was not meant to be this afternoon. I hope the lads have taken note of the experience required for league football, I don't think we are far from that standard, but we aint there YET!, I gave McCuster a start as I felt it may work differently up front for us, however we just couldn't find a way through. I'm sure the guys will won't to put this disappointment behind them ready for next weeks home tie with Crawley."

BEVAN - "I WANT OUT"

"Come in"

"Hi boss just thought I'd hand you this"

A scibbled piece of scrap paper. I knew what it was. Scott Bevan wanted out and who can blame him. Scott is a good goal keeper with loads of experience and is clearly not happy warming the bench up week in and week out. The only problem at the moment is that I cannot guarantee him regular first team football.

"I'm sorry Scott, I can't accept this. Your a good player and you will be given a chance but not yet...."

"BUT!"

"But nothing, no Scott I want you to wait for a bit, we will discuss this later but not now please, if you don't mind I have loads to get on with"

I just felt that I had to cut him short. Losing Scott would be a blow to the team even if he wasn't a first team regular. His experience counts for alot. Maybe he has got a point though, maybe his experience might help.

Cooked at Aggborough

Kidderminster 0 Crawley Town 2 - 17th November 2007

Kidderminster were without defender Stephen O-Halloran for the visit of Crawley so Munday is brought in as a replacement.

Things went wrong from the 17th minute when Creighton's missed time tackle left James Cook wide open to opening the scoring 1-0 Crawley.

Confusion once again led to Cooks and Crawley's second and relegation threatened Crawley have Kidderminster up against the wall.

At half time Creighton is removed from the pitch with Mccusker with Whitehead and Mikaelsson the replacements.

A mass exodus of fans 3/4 through the match highlighted the dissapointment of this performance.

Allen apologies to fans

Kidderminster Harriers manager Lee Allen has held his hands up and apologised for his teams performance on Saturday which resulted in a 2-0 win for relegation threatened Crawley.

Everybody is disappointed with the performance and I can't make any excuses it was appaling. I am ashamed of the result, it was if we just didn't turn up. We played like a Sunday morning parks team having a kick around and made them look like Chelsea.

Allen has threatened wholesale changes for the next match against Rushden.

In the meantime Allen has not followed up on trialists Gonzales and Wilkes in a bid to add a strikeforce to accompany James Constable who is the leading goal scorer for Kidderminster with 9 goals so far.

Harriers show improvement but leave empty handed

Rushden 2 Kidderminster 1 - 22nd November 2007

A rare televised appearance and I thought it couldn't have come at any worse time of the season, we were on a winning streak and how quickly can fortunes turn and we were struggling to gain anything out of the matches.

Bevan, Whitehead, McGurk and Hogg are drifted into the side.

Whitehead gives away a penalty following a clumsy tackle on 10 minutes and the run of 4 losses looks to continue.

Bevan trying to stake a claim on the number 1 jersey fumbles a shot which Shaw knocks in for 2-0. A rare attack sees Munday knock the ball into the box which fell nicely to Foy who was able to pass the ball into the net. Half time 2-1 a big improvement against a strong Rushden side.

Whitehead was substituted at half time never recovering from conceeding the early penalty and was replaced by Hurren.

On 56 mins McGurk looked to be fouled in the box and the ref plays on. McGurk stays down and forces a substitue with Christie making a rare appearance.

The final whistle goes with no goals the second half an improvement but still its another loss. Fans calling for more changes especially from the 4-4-2 which I had played all season.

Hogg is suspended for the next match following the collection of 5 yellow cards.

Telford drawn at Kidderminster

The FA trophy draw sees arch rivals AFC Telford facing a short trip to Aggborough Stadium where they will play Kidderminster Harriers. Lee Allen is excited about the tie, its what we need right now. A break from league football might be just what we need.

Rumours around Aggborough are that Scott Bevan failed to turn up at training as is reportedly in show down talks with the Harriers boss.

Whitehed - Transfer Listed

Long serving Kidderminster Harriers defender Stewart Whitehead could be on his way out from Aggborough following his request to leave the club being granted. Whitehead who has made 3 appearances this season and has failed to make a huge impact. "I need to be playing week in and week out to be enjoying football, I can't continue to sit on the sides, thats just not me" he adds.

Dean Bennett has also left with his loan expiring. Bennett returns to Chester following an unsuccesful spell at Aggborough which has been hugely hampered by injury.

Le Allen makes a bid to bring Northern Irish U21 midfielder Matthew Hazley to the club. Hazley released by Stoke is listening to offers with Harriers facing stiff opposition from Premier rivals Aldershot.

Executed at Aggborough

Kidderminster 2 Exeter 1 - 1st December 2007

Harkness and Christie make the starting line up following the return of loan signings to Aston Villa. A change of formation is apparent from the start and pays off on 20 minutes when McGurk finds himself on a clearnace from Bevan. McGurk keeps his cool to bring some joy around Aggborough.

Constable passes to McGurk who shoots from outside the area to make it 2-0 on 33 minutes.

A revitisied Kidderminster make no changes until the 72 minutes when Penn and Christie are replaced by Russell and Richards.

The only down side of the performance was the own goal by Fennell on 89 minutes.

Lee Allen states "This is what its about a good solid performance a big improvement this shows what we are capable of, previous weeks have not been good but this has raised a little smile. I want us to build on this there is no excuses"

Harriers miss out on Hazley

Aldershot and Kidderminster Harriers have both failed in their bid to bring young midfielder Hazley to their clubs. Instead the player choosing Pollok.

Its a huge dissapointment so attentions will be taken elsewhere.

Grey day for Kiddi

Grays 4 Kidderminster 1 - 8th December 2007

I keep to the same line up and formation that was so successful in beating high flying Exeter for our trip to mid table Grays. I thought we had found the right combination but it was undone almost straight away.

Their forward Oli grabbing a 75 minute hat trick making the result seem like a real thrashing. The first half performance was average, very average in fact however we played and matched them in the second half.

Constable netting our consolation goal.

I'm disappointed with the result the score doesn't really reflect how we played, however the Board and fans wouldn't see it that that. We need to beat teams like Gray's on a regular basis, they aint nothing special"

FA Vase 1st Round

The week had started bad with Bevan failing to turn up for training on Monday. I called out unhappy goalkeeper into the office and gave him a real grilling. No player is bigger than the club and I was in charge not Scott Bevan. I hoped he left with his tail in between his legs and he was fined 1 weeks wages with no comment.

The fact he didn't turn up for training presented me with a selection problem do I let him play or not. I call Neil intothe office following Wednesday's training session and ask his advice. He suggests that we make a few changes to the side that easily brushed aside Grays. Strange move but I somewhat agree that this match gives us the opportunity of resting some of our more influential players.

Now AFC Telford currently occupied 21st place in the Blue Square North.

Our line up: - Kaziemlerczak, Bignot, Harkness, Creighton, Munday, Penn, Ferrell, Hogg, McGurk, Constable, Richards. Subs: - Bevan, Lamb, Foy, McCusker, Hurren. I seemed quite positive and had no hesitation to tell the local press that I foresee no problem brushing aside the opposition.

With an evenly matched 1st half with both sides having 1 clear chance to open the scoring the scores surprisingly remained 0-0. I instruct the team to keep hold of the ball more and to push out wider. Possesion was being given away to easily for my liking in the first half.

Tactics payed off on 63 minutes when McGurk puts us in the lad when he finds himself in the area unmarked.

With 8 minutes remaining on the refs watch I decide to take Munday and Penn off to be replaced with Lamb and Hurren.

With the whistle in the refs mouth the Crowd the away set of supporters shout for joy as Leadbeater finds a dramaticle equaliser.

The goal results in both teams having to face one another in 3 days time, it's so disappointing especially as their goal came so late in the game.

19th December 2007

Returning for a replay at the New Bucks Head was always going to be difficult. I mean I used to work there. I had no problem playing them and congratulated them previously having held us to a draw but returning to the ground where I spent a lot of time was difficult. I had good times there and loved the atmosphere it generated. A crowd of 2,333 witnessed Kidderminster move into the next round. Munday was dropped from the starting line up following a training ground injury.

Richards, Penn and Constable net the 3 goals that sees Kidderminster move into the second round where they play Southport. £4,000 prize money reeived gratefully.

Penn picks up a knock but should be ok for the next match against Weymouth in the Setanta Shield.

Setanta Shield 4th Round - Kidderminster V Weymouth

1,536 spectactors at Aggborough on a cold damp day, the first 3/4 of the match were so boring. I was constantly up and down off the bench and on the edge of the technical area. On 71 minutes Weymouth some how take the lead, I don't know how. It was one of those moments when your team push forward the crowd go wild and you look up and the ball is in the other net.

Luckily we replied straight away when Hogg heads in from a corner.

The game goes into extra time which was played cautiously and then to the dreaded penalties.

Kidderminster's Constable is first and places his spot kick in the right hand side of the net. Chalis misses for Wymouth placing the ball wide. Harkness makes it 2-0 with a shot hard straight at the goalkeeper. Crtichell places his shot neatly to make it 2-1. McGrath fires his shot over and Beavon equalises for Weymouth. Bignot luckily hits the post and bounces in and Browning thinks his on the rugby pitch and scores a conversion. Mark Creighton seals the tie for Kidderminster slotting home right hand side of the goalie for a 4-2 penalty win.

£3,000 much needed prize money.

Kidderminster V Weymouth

Andy Ferrell makes his 25th league appearance for the Harriers.

9 mins into the game and Constable is in the clear. The Weymouth goalie Matthews can only push the attempt away unfortunately the ball doesn't land anywhere near a Harriers player. 22 minutes and Weymouth force a wonderful save from Kazimierczak just tiping it over the bar.

At half time Foy replaces Ferrell and Christie comes off for Richards. Tactics worked quickly with Foy running into the area and slotting home on 63 minutes. Foy's 5th goal of the season.

After 74 minutes Weymouth are back on level terms when Penn allegedly obstructs Fuller in the penalty area. Tindal scores from the spot and the Harriers players are not happy.

Tindall remains on the pitch for a further 5 minutes until receiving his 2nd yellow card after ploughing into Hogg.

Woking 2 Kidderminster 1

Adam McGurk opens the scoring for the away side after 4 minutes however young Woking striker Tristan Plummer nets 2 quick second half goals. This results in the Harriers leaving Woking with nothing.

"An evenly fought matchwith both sides having enough opportunities to snatch it, unfortunately it wasn't us"
