JAYUK24
I'm in my 2nd season with Liverpool, and have been handed a transfer budget of £142m after a tycoon takeover, I've targeted Messi... Had a £92m offer accepted, he wants £275k a week... I can only offer him £200k but am doing so with a £10m signing on fee, 25% year wage increase, £40k appearance and £40K goal bonus He still wont sign!! How greedy does he want to be?!?!? CMOZZA
It's a polite wayof him saying he doesn't want to leave Barca and will only do so for that ridiculous amount of money and no less
108
To be fair, there's some thing money can't buy. Would you move from the Gorgeous Hot Sunny Beautiful City of Barcelona, to move to Cold Damp Windy Liverpool? Honestly? Sure you would if someone offered you 275K a week....but if you're already earning 150K a Week, it's honestly not that much of a wage increase. I think it's realistic. JAYUK24
I've praised him etc saying im trying my utmost to sign him, he says that he wants to join, club is one of his favourites and im on his favoured personnel, yet he still wont.
ac13
he signed a new deal for barca at 275k a week in the first pre season in my game so maybe that's just what he feels he's worth nothing to do with Barca vs liverpool.

Barkermush
Sounds like he wants to come, but i'm guessing he his already on or around 275k a week on your save, and he doesn't want to take a pay cut in his weekly wages? What's his current wage at Barca on your save?

henry9261
I had a similar thing with Pato wanting 170k a week despite only being on 100k at AC Milan.
Montanaro
Isn't one reason CRonaldo went to Real Madrid, is because of Tax hikes in England? Not saying this is modeled in the game, but you could just pretend that Messi doesn't want to pay taxes! And I seem to recall certain players don't like leaving certain nations in the game. Spanish speaking Messi living in Spain probably has little desire to travel the distance to a cold Liverpool.
SouthgatesRedWhiteArmy
His current Wage is 250k a week @ Barcelona. Why would he leave the club he loves and drop his wages, just so he can move to Chester, and have his house burgled within weeks of being there? Smurf
Just offer it to him, he'll probably take it.

AbsoluteGenius
In real life he'd join Liverpool for that offer.

Vermundr
In real life he'd join Liverpool for that offer. Yeah you are a real genious. He might join, when the only worthy trophy he is missing in his cabinet is the Europa League
DeanToon
Messi is god-like but for that price you could get about 10 wonderkids who could turn out at Messi's level or lightly below.
finestmeat
Jay.uk have you read about Messi`s upbringing? I am not having a go here really, look him up it is actually an interesting read. Barcelona have paid for all his expenses since he was a little boy growing up in Argentina, they paid for everything, gave his family gifts etc...they even bought him `growth tablets`..i dont know the exact name but yeah....he owes Barcelona big time,he`ll never leave.Irl anyway.
