Help with sevilla tactic =]

I started as sevilla last night , made my signings and stuff and started playing the league today , not played that many games but as with most my fm saves this year ive downloaded tactics to use but i feel like thats cheating in a way when successfull (own opnion )..

so i started playing games and you will see my my links below from fixtures and how my team is set up . the madrid game i lost 3-2 in the last minute i was playing on counter attack and was unlucky to lose !! then i thought im not a bad side i have good players i will take the teams to games with control / attack , but i dont seem to be having any luck !

What i wanted to create was the old sevilla which everyone stopped to watch with there counter attacking at the right time and when they smell blood go for it and score lots of goals , one problem with this is i love keeping clean sheets ! and theres no way of scoring plenty of goals and not letting any in.

Also i tried to put my individual closing down high aswell they close down aswell as team instructions because they dont seem to be closing down to stop long shots ..

Any advice how to fix this would be appreciated , team instructions follow are in the formation screenshot !

if i was you i'd put the wingers further up the pitch and knock down the cf to bout 16 notches as 4 your poacher he dunt want to be running with the ball

Is it possible to look at your ins and outs ? It would help to know how you squad looks like so we could possibly get a better idea of what formation to put. A flat 4-4-2 almost looks a bti wasted on that starting XI I would say.

sure transfers in link below , formations hard choice because i like having 2 strikers but also wingers lol

was more of getting rid of the players i either dont rate or wont fit into how i really wanted

Ok how about going a little more assymetrical? Don't be scared to do it. Most formations these days aren't as clear cut as they used to be. If I was you I would ditch Negredo and go with Fabiano and Kanoute up front and have Navas as AMR and Adriano as ML, keep Martinez as MC and then have Fazio as DMC. That way you have a nice balance between attack and defence and also get Navas high up the field to assist the two strikers. Adriano will help protect the left flank and Fazio will be in a more comfortable role.

This is just what I would do and although 4-4-2 lends itself to a more stable defence I feel you'll lack in attack and really Navas should be given more license to attack and not defend so much. If you insist in playing Hazard I'd let him play as an AMC as he'll do more damage there but then you might have to have Navas at MR instead.

aye i see where your coming from ,Navas as been good amr , just got to find that right balance which is tricky and getting the players to play right , do i change much on the individual instructions , or keep it normal in the TC

Well tell me first how you want your formation? Are you leaning towards Navas at AMR? I would. Basically because his work rate sucks and that way you can leave him to attack and let the rest of the team defend.

Mentality wise I would be tempted to have Navas on the highest mentality but mixed forward runs to get him on the ball a lot and let him dribble. Keep Kanoute central with lower mentality so he can get ahold of the ball and have Fabiano left of centre to get him on his strongest foot cutting in. You should see some good attacking football this way.

I'm playing assymetrical with Villarreal at the moment with Nilmar and Rossi upfront, Cazorla at MR and Ibagaza at AMC as a sort of "shadow striker" and he rarely get picks up from midfield. It's beautiful

Origanlly i wanted to make a counter attacking formation , but with only barca and real madrid who are big threat i thought i could attack teams so i think i might move fazio to dm which role to play him not quite sure might have him as a anchor man but set him to defensive .

martinez im thinking of leaving him on box2box i feel that is fine but wether i have free roam for him i dont know how that would work in that role wether he would be out of position to much .

Assymetrical formation does seem kind of intresting to use , how would you set the fullbacks up though ? you would need them to support i guess , not as much on right flank as id have navas amr then the left back would have no cover if i was to move the lm/aml into a cam role .. the more i think about this formation more it seems intresting to me .

the last result agaisnt valencia wasnt the right score haa i was robbed .. david villa scored two 25yarders one a free kick and the other was unreal .. then his 3rd was a long ball by there keeper moya and it went straight over my defence to his feet to score ..

i havent changed my defence instructions much , but is there any way to stop the long ball over the top from the keeper? or tips on defending ..
