Pangaea
If you absolutely wanted to create your own club, why not do so with a clean slate? Set up the club with few funds, say 100k, no transfer funds, no players, no backroom staff, low reputation, and then set about your business. Now it looks like you've basically made sure you'll fly up the leagues. I honestly don't see the fun in that. It's obvious some of these players, if not many of them, are way too good for the level you started out at (or even above that as Hernandez are still banging them in in League Two..). Maybe I'm a strange breed, but the most fun I have with this game is to build up a team and find struggle at every turn. When you then succeed you know you have actually accomplished something. If you find this fun long-term, however, by all means play like this. It's your game and all that. Just as I play my game how I like, you should play your game how you like. But I do think a save where you are pretty much clicking continue and receiving wins galore will not be very fun in the long term. Racing a Lada with a Ferrari may be fun the first few times, but after a while it becomes stale and predictable. Car analogies ftw
jackripper
Racing a Lada with a Ferrari may be fun the first few times, but after a while it becomes stale and predictable. A great way to put it mate, I totally agree. I was manchester united manager and won everything till it became repetitive. I know in Holland struggling in Jupiler League with Haarlem. Oh the joys. AcidBurn
Very well presented thread but I have to agree that it seems too easy, I will keep reading though to see what it's like once you reach the EPL. Javier Hernandez is a beast in the top Mexican league he is way too good for the lower English leagues, he should be getting 50 plus goals a season. Can I ask what starting reputation you gave your club? I had a game just like this on FM08 and it was great fun, did you give yourself a sugar daddy? If it's possible from now on any chance you could post the players stats for the season, wouldn't mind seeing the best 11's from the season you have played so far. I will keep reading and I think your save will become good once you reach the EPL. Good luck dude.

AcidBurn
Is this the player United have signed IRL Yeah with the right tutoring and training he could become a back up for a top EPL side on FM, he was outscoring my players in my days in Mexico he was so good I hated him. Maw74
Thanks for the replies, the points made are fair and expected, it's ok, I know my game is totally unrealistic but what I would like to do is have to two save files, 1-this type and 2-normal game. So a fantasy type game and then another game where I manage real clubs, this is the type of thing I have done on other management games. I had a game just like this on FM08 and it was great fun, did you give yourself a sugar daddy?. Yeah it is and yes I did, I did think about starting again in the way that Pangaea said, but at the moment I'm really enjoying this game. Fair enough that some of the players are too good for the lower levels, but I wanted some players that would be with the club during the hopeful rise to the prem. Javier Hernandez has been great, I didn't know much about him when I set this game up, and shortly after I did he was signed by Man Utd. If it's possible from now on any chance you could post the players stats for the season, wouldn't mind seeing the best 11's from the season you have played so far. I will keep reading and I think your save will become good once you reach the EPL. Good luck dude. Ok I will sort that info out and then put it up. Edit - Best Eleven's now added to previous posts. Maw74
Season 8 - Coca-Cola Championship - 2016/2017 ----------------------------------- July 2016 Pre-Season Well another win against GH Academy, a draw against our feeder club Northampton. Good wins over Galway Utd, Rapids Academy and Radstock. ----------------------------------- August 2016 A tough start and not a good one, narrow defeat against QPR but totally shocking against Hull City. We led 2-1 against Sheff Utd but they eventually overpowered to record a comfortable win. Managed to pick up our first point but was disappointed not to win against Crystal Palace. I was happy with the draw against Bolton, we were behind for a long time, but Hernandez levelled late. We struggled to get past Cheltenham in the cup, Amautovic scored his first goal for the club to take us through after extra time. We were superb against Southampton, I wasn't expecting much to be honest. James Wallace pulled a goal back on 85 minutes but Harchester held on for their 7th win against Stopsley Utd. ism-scfc
Have you recieved any big offers for Hernandez? With a silly strike rate like that, I'm amazed you've kept hold of him.

Maw74
----------------------------------- November 2016 Marko Amautovic scored twice with his 2nd coming 3 minutes into injury time to earn Stopsley a point against Wolves. Amautovic opened the scoring but Wolves hit back and when they took the lead on 90 minutes they looked set to win. We dominated against Millwall but couldn't take any of the numerous chances that we created, was very disappointed to lose and not at all pleased with the ref for giving them a very soft penalty on 18 minutes. We carried the form into the game against Plymouth and Amautovic put us ahead after just 4 minutes, Beckford wrapped up the win with a strike on 84 minutes. We made it 3 wins in a row with 4-1 away win over Southampton, Hernandez opened the scoring on 27 minutes but The Saints were level 8 minutes later when Tom Heaton put the ball into his own net, the players didn't let their heads drop and instead the setback spurred them on. Hernandez 41' & Amautovic 44' gave Stopsley a comfortable lead. Renatinho pounced on a loose ball on 60 minutes to make it 4-1 and secure another 3 points. ----------------------------------- Latest Transfer Deals Stopsley Utd made 5 signings during October and November, Keeper Jan Rauw has joined on loan from Stopsley's parent club AC Milan and Bruno Pilatos is back at the club for a 2nd spell. 3 young Spaniards have joined Stopsley, the club wanted to have a better look at the players but with the free transfer period close to closing Woodward decided to take a chance and signed them on full contracts. "It's not a big risk anyway, they are free, the wage deals are good but obviously not big big money, so I see no problem with giving these 3 players a chance to show us what they can do at the club. I've liked what I've seen so far and I think they could surprise people who haven't seen or heard of the lads." A closer look at the Spanish trio....... Germán Rosado, Alfonso Ramos, Jordi Soto. ----------------------------------- December 2016 The winning run came to an end but we played well against Cardiff, it was a similar game to the recent fixture with Millwall, we created a lot more chances but failed to take them. Hammond 77' & Peters 80' made Stopsley rue the missed chances. Results in more detail........ Stopsley Utd v Dunstable Town Stopsley Utd v Hitchin Town Stopsley Utd v St Albans City Full Results & Final Table ----------------------------------- Transfers So Far... Nine players in and nine players out so far, We have spent £1.8m and I'm confident that these players will do a good job for us in our push for promotion. I didn't want Andros Townsend to leave but he wouldn't accept a new deal, so I will be interested to see where he ends up going. I wasn't planning to sell Tom Heaton but the offer came in from Spurs and I feel that Jan Sebek is good enough cover for Scott Loach anyway. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
