Maw74
"A shock home defeat as we lose out to Aston Villa in the LC Semi's. A game in hand on Spurs but ground to make up after a couple of defeats." "A very tough close battle with Spurs and it's another title secured. Maw74
"Only 22nd richest, just a little bit behind the Bayern Scum." "Will Leeds really be good enough to stop us clinching a 5th title in a row?" "We got off to a great start picking up some more silverware and winning all our games in August. Any doubts about Leeds Utd's ability to challenge for the title were blown away as were we as we slump to a heavy home defeat, another defeat followed in the league but we bounced back with another strong month of results in October to lead Leeds by two points." "A massive couple of months, our form has been outstanding with eleven wins and three draws from our fourteen games. November was good but December was amazing as we won all eight games including a nine goal thriller against Man City."
Maw74
"It's a tough battle for the title with 5/6 teams still in contention. Some very poor results including Leeds completing the double over us and also the drubbing at the hands of lowly Northampton. Fulham beat us in the League and also knocked us out of the League Cup as we lost out in the Semi-Finals for a second year running." "We suffered another couple of defeats but again we finished strong with four wins and a draw in our last five games to secure the title for a fifth year in a row. Our Champions League run came to a end at the Quarter-Final stage as we were hammered by Bayern Munich ." FA Cup Semi-Final & Final "A sweet result anyway but always extra special for a Spurs fan to get this kind of result." "We retain the trophy." We faught back from 2-0 down to get a point at Old Trafford and then won ten games in a row before hitting a blip in October, well hopefully it's only a blip." Maw74
"Our great form has continued as we suffer just the one league defeat during November and in December we won all of our league games and secured a place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League where we will face German side Schalke." Maw74
"We had a lot of tough close games but despite a couple of defeats we are still in a great position to successfully defend the title, In the FA cup I mixed things up by giving some key players a rest. We scraped through against Ipswich and then were taken to a replay by Sheff Wed, we nearly messed things up after leading 5-1, Velásquez came off the bench to earn us a replay against Man Utd. We led the replay until injury time and went on to lose 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out. In the Champions League we came back from Germany with a good 1-0 lead but the second leg wasn't going well when they took the lead on 61 minutes, the big worry was them getting another would have given us too much to do, anyway with the tie close to going into extra-time Velásquez struck on 92 minutes to put us through to the Quarter-Finals to face another German side, we have had some big tussle's with Bayern and last season they beat us 1-0 and 5-0 at the same stage last season. The first leg we were at home again but this time we travel to Germany for the 2nd leg having kept a clean sheet and with a narrow lead, will it be enough though?" Maw74
"We secured our 6th PL title in a row and it's our 24th title overall." "In the Champions League it went to a penalty shoot-out against Bayern and we finally came through to win it 9-8. It didn't look good after a 2-0 home defeat to Saint-Etienne in the semi-final but a superb display in the 2nd leg saw us come through 5-3 on aggregate." "We met Inter in the final for a 4th time, the game turned both ways and it looked set to go into extra-time but we suffered heartbreak in injury time. It is now 2 wins each with Inter winning the last 2 finals between us."

Despite his age in the last few seasons he was a player I wanted to keep around and still capable of making a worthy contribution on the pitch, I tried to get him to stay in football after hanging up his boots but no joy on that front. Maw74
"A bit late posting this but here is what happened at the last Euro's." "The England manager was sacked after England went out at the group stage." "I applied and get appointed for a 2nd spell." "Here are the World Rankings at the start of my 2nd spell in charge." "Lol bias? you bet, not the last time I get this message." "My first game was a friendly against Belgium and it ended in a stalemate. Looks like we have a bit of a problem against Belgium, the qualifiers got of well though the wins over Israel and Latvia were far from easy going. We then had another friendly with Belgium and we drew another blank as they snatched a late winner, the qualifier against Northern Ireland should have been a far bigger margin. Big news came before our top of the table clash with the Czechs, in a moment of pure bitterness I dropped John Shepherd from the squad, the reason being he had recently scored in the CL final for Inter Milan against my Stopsley Utd side. We were 2-1 down after 17 minutes and it looked like we were going to slip to our first defeat of the qualifiers or at least drop some points. Herbert dragged us level on 86 minutes and then 4 minutes into injury time England and Stopsley captain Matthew Mee was put through to score a dramatic winner." We miss out on the trophy as Villa triumph in shoot-out. Tottenham knock us out of League Cup. Another great tie with Bayern and a great comeback. More shoot-out misery as we lose to the Hammers. Udinese pegged us back to take it to extra-time but we lifted the trophy to be Champions of Europe, added bonus that it was at the home of the Gooners. Maw74
Transfers - £55m Spent with Velkov being the biggest signing at £35m. February 2052 The unbeaten run went to 18 games then we suffer 3 defeats in a row. went out of the FA Cup to Man Utd and as good as out of the Champions League after a shocker against Marseille. The month ended with our first defeat in the Premier League as we go down to 3-2 Man City. March 2052 We bounce back in great style but we simply had given ourselves far too much to do against Marseille, though we actually did have enough chances in the 2nd leg. April 2052 A perfect month as we ease to our 27th Premier League title. May 2052 Two wins to wrap up the season but we are left to rue that 3 game blip. League Table Best XI Matthew Mee should surely be in the eleven.

Maw74
Transfers - Stopsley Spending Spree = £131m August 2053 Arsenal beat us 4-2 on penalties to take the Community Shield after a 0-0 draw. Cambridge then beat us in the opening league game but we then hit form with 3 good wins. September 2053 We go out of the League Cup early yet again. October 2053 2 defeats in the PL this month and it has been a mixed start for us. November 2053 A much better month and nice to thump Man Utd. December 2053 The great form continues and we thumped Arsenal. January 2054 We take unbeaten run to 17 games until we suffer a narrow defeat at Man City. February 2054 A great month and on another unbeaten run. March 2054 The only games we lost were in the Champions League, the narrow defeat to Schalke didn't matter as we were comfortable winners on aggregate. In the Quarter-Final we have a lot of work to do if we are to progress after losing 2-0 away to Inter Milan. April 2054 We lift the Premier League trophy for a 29th time. We are through to face Coventry City in the FA Cup Final but we couldn't progress in the Champions League after losing out to Inter Milan despite a 2nd leg win. May 2054 Rested players for the FA Cup final but the Liverpool result was still a shocker. A comfortable win in the final as we lift the trophy for a 13th time. League Table Best XI This is from Season 43 >>> Ricky Gayle & Matthew Mee don't get on. I have no plans letting go of either player, I don't care if players don't like each other when they perform like these. The funny thing is I got Matthew Mee to tutor Ricky Gayle after this and there were no problems with that. Mee is our Captain and Gayle is Vice-Captain, will they still be with us when this update gets to Season 49?
Maw74
Transfers - The biggest deal was our Number 1 keeper going for £25m. August 2054 Man Utd take the spoils in the Community Shield but a great start for us in the league as we take 10pts from a possible 12 in the opening month of the season. September 2054 6 wins from 6 this month including a close thriller against West Brom. October 2054 A shock home defeat to Sheff Wed and another early exit in the League Cup. November 2054 Only 1 goal conceded this month but that was enough for Ipswich to deny us a 100% record. December 2054 Only a narrow defeat suffered in a game that no real importance to us. January 2055 We are on a 12 game unbeaten run and Man Utd will visit us in a FA Cup replay. February 2055 We go out of the FA Cup on penalties but twice we should have seen the game out. We gained some quick revenge straight away but in the last game of the month Sheff Wed completed the double over us. 2 defeats in the Premier League and both to Sheff Wed, they must wish they could play us every week.:o March 2055 A good solid month with progress past Zaragoza and a 1st leg lead against Villa. April 2055 The Premier League Title secured again and we ease past Villa in the Champions League but a disaster in the 1st leg away to Barcelona left us too much to do though we gave it a good go. May 2055 Our 30th title was already won and we celebrated at Everton's expense. League Table Best XI
Maw74
Transfers - Jerez turns out the to be the best signing. He can cover LB & RB positions and at £4m has proved to be a real bargain. August 2055 Early trophy lifted as we see off Ipswich with ease at Wembley. A great start in the league as we win 3 of our opening 4 games. September 2055 We make it 2 months unbeaten and progress in the League Cup. October 2055 Our great start stretches to 16 games unbeaten. A big win in the CL and further progress in the League Cup. November 2055 The run goes to 17 games unbeaten with another big win against Anderlecht. The run ends after a late late strike by Holland as Leeds beat us 3-2. December 2055 We grab a late victory against Arsenal to book a place in the League Cup Semi-Finals. Stoke then inflict a surprise defeat on us and we lose for just the 2nd time so far this season. Another defeat followed in the Champions League but we had already qualified anyway. We close out the year in great form and with 4 clean sheets and some big wins. January 2056 A much changed side left it late but came through safely against Doncaster. We battered Man Utd in the 1st leg of the League Cup and we should be going to Wembley. West Brom bring us back down to earth as they take away all 3pts after a 3-2 win. Newcastle had a far less enjoyable visit though and will have nightmares about Cabral. February 2056 We just can't beat Sheff Wed lately, not even when we go 3-0 ahead. We progress to the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup and gain a great advantage over Marseille in the Champions League that should make a place in the next round a formality. Our trip to Wembley didn't end in glory as Leeds triumph in the League Cup. March 2056 We beat Newcastle to set up a Semi-Final against Ipswich in the FA Cup. A 7-3 aggregate win against Marseille puts us through to face Frankfurt in the Champions League. We then got some sweet revenge over Leeds by thumping them 5-0 in the title battle. We suffered a very disappointing loss at lowly Crystal Palace and after a 2-1 defeat away to Frankfurt we have work to do if we are gonna progress in the Champions League. April 2056 We took control of the 2nd leg early and win through 6-3 on aggregate against Frankfurt. In the FA Cup Semi-Final a late goal from Ipswich took it to extra-time and penalties and we lost out. An early goal and a late strike gave us a good 2-0 lead to take to Italy for the 2nd leg against Inter. We led 3-1 on aggregate at half time of the 2nd leg and the away goal proved vital as we go through to the final. The 3-1 defeat to Man City in the Premier League takes the title race down to the final 2 games in May. May 2056 Wins against Stoke and Ipswich saw us clinch our 31st Premier League title. Real Madrid took an early lead but Velkov levelled from the spot and Foster netted the winner. It's our 11th triumph in 20 finals. Mark Heath
Incredible career you've had with Stopsley. I used to live in Luton, so nice to see an old local team doing well. Maw74
Incredible career you've had with Stopsley. I used to live in Luton, so nice to see an old local team doing well. Do you have any goals you're trying to achieve? You can't be far off being the most successful team of all time now. Only goal I have at the moment is to complete 50 seasons, not sure what I will do after that. I'm currently having a few problems with the game in season 49, game froze when we were 3-1 down against Man Utd and that resulted in having to replay the previous 5 games and results were not as good as first time, not too concerned/bothered about that but it's just annoying when you have to do that though and second time against Man Utd again went 3-1 down and lost by that score. As a result of this I set the game to save every week, good job because later in the season it froze again, this time we were 6-2 up against Arsenal, but thankfully it was only that game that I had to replay, Have now encountered a 3rd problem this season and that was a crash dump. Hopefully I can get through the remainder of the season without any more problems.

August 2056 A comfortable win against Ipswich as we lift early trophy and another trophy soon after with a 3-2 victory over Genoa September 2056 October 2056 What a shocker this game was. November 2056 December 2056 Our 3rd trophy of the season thanks to this narrow win. On Boxing day poor Man City were battered. January 2057 In the League cup we had a good 3-1 lead after the firts leg. We then extended the lead to 5-1 in the second leg but Spurs stunned us.
