Finchy107
Hello, I am Barca and I have just signed Pato on a free from AC Milan (result!). Anyway, he is coming up as a FGN foreign player which is understandable as he is Brazilian. But I have checked and he was 30 days away from becoming an italian citizen. Can I loan him back to Italy for 1 month, let him get his italian citizenship and then recall him to Barca where he won't be a foreign player. Would this work? jod123
Yeah, I am pretty sure it would. However, I think it will take longer than a month as he won't get it instantly. Also he might not take it and you can't force him to, although I am pretty sure he would in order to become an EU citizen.
cliff7197
Nice solution, loaning him back to Italy. Good thinking. Should work IMO but as Jod says he's not likely to get dual citizenship straight away, if at all.
AbsoluteGenius
I doubt Pato has any intention of going out on loan.
jackripper
would be hard for him to go as he would be reluctant to leave the club due to recent arrival.
NVS_Gooner4life
As for the loaning it would be difficult to get him to agree since just moved to your club but as for the general aspect of loaning players out to get their citizenship and this becoming EU citizen it should work just fine, i have done it several times. nev147
He'll get Spanish second nationality within two years anyway.
