SirCliveWolfe
I read an interesting article advising that a lost of Arsenal's centerbacks started out as midfield players and that Wenger re-trained them to be CBs so that his team would be better in posestion at the back. I am in the process of trying this with my Napoli side, I ws just wondering if anyone else has tried this and what the effects were?
likeabawss
Alternatively, you could just give your defenders a little bit more attacking training so that they can pass and keep possession better.

Indeed, but it was off the back of this article that I thought I would try this. I suppose that Wenger feels that a MC turned CB will always be of better quality in terms of possestion (passing, creativity etc..) than a CB would is trained a little. Not sure but was wondering how it would work out.
phidelta42
If you have midfielders that are very strong aerially then it could work. Generally I'd be happier moving players in the opposite direction, a good ball playing DC has massive potential to be a great DM.
